Free to play means that we can play the basic game for free but purchase cosmetic items and costume for characters. At least, that's what i think from F2P for Tekken.

[h=1]Tekken Revolution Trailer, New Details Surface[/h]



Earlier, we found out that Tekken Revolution is a free-to-play game coming as an exclusive PS3 title. Namco Bandai has now released a two minute trailer for the game, as well as details for the next Tekken game.

Tekken Revolution will include eight playable characters. There will be an arcade mode for players to battle against the AI and an online mode with ranked and player matches.

The free-to-play title will include Special Arts and Critical Arts moves, helping new and advanced players to deliver attacks and form new stratagies.

For the first time in the Tekken series, players will be able to level up their characters through three attributes: strength, endurance, and vigor. The level up system will allow players to customize their fighters as they see fit.


Tekken Revolution will be available on the PlayStation Network on June 11.

Would you recommend purchasing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for multiplayer at this point or is Tekken Revolution expected to serve the multiplayer fun equally well for free?

Also, how good is the server with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 multiplayer? I remember not being able to connect Mortal Kombat even once; it would keep logging meout of lobby.

TTT2 is probably more enjoyable due to the tag setups/juggles/combos. However, Revolution is going to be flexible in terms of character customization. You only have 8 basic character presets, and you can download additional movesets via micro-transations and build your personalized fighter. At least, that's the idea with this game.

TTT2's netcode is stable for the most part, It's playable even on a red bar connection. Not as good as smooth as offline, of course, but playable nevertheless and a lot better than Tekken 6's netcode.

Just started downloading
I m not a big fighting game fan but who can pass on a f2p title and tekken is the only fighting title i like besides
Kof so y not?

So just finished downloading And played a few matches at first when i figured out the points system i was a little disappointed that you could only play a few per hour if u
dont buy premium coins
But come to think of it this could be expected of a free game and for me its kind of suitable as i wont end up speding to much time on this

So as i have little knowledge about the tekken universe outside of jin i chose kazuya and began the arcade mode. I went through it fairly quickly and easily. As i said in my previous post i m not a fighting game fan i just pressed random buttons with a little guide from the moves menu.
As i havent played any fighting game since tekken 4 i loved the animations and stuff.
And during the final battle mu kazuya transformed into some kind of a devil which i am not sure i accidentally triggered or was bound to happen in the last stage.
After finishing the arcade game i went over to the customization menu. You basically have 3 customisable stats which in a nutshell are damage,hp and crits(i m not exactly sure about this part).
As i have no idea about tekken chars and fighting styles so i didnt upgrade anyone yet
Instead i directly jumped into the mp(versus) whatever you prefer to call it.

I didnt find a challenge with the pre-set restrictions in 10-15 mins so i tired without any restrictions and found a game within 5mins.
And regardless to say i got my ass handed to me

Overall it seemed liked a decent game but what do i know this is my second tekken game and 4 or 5 fighting title i ever played(aside from the wwe game but i think they are completely different)

Dont waste you time with this crap...requires a constant internet connection to play...play it gives out multiple errors mid game due to an unstable connection. It probably wont work on a modded ps3.... so stick to TTT2
