suggest me a laptop

okay guys i wanna buy a laptop, so can u ppl suggest me one ?

my range is around 55k max and it will mainly be used for :

browsing and movies
engineering softwares (MATLAB, Pro-E)
Photoshop and other media tools
light gaming

in other words i need a good core i series processor
AT LEAST 4gb ram
HAS to have a dedicated graphics card
Screen size preferably 14''

here are some of the ones i am thinking:

Dell inspiron 14r (47k Galaxy)
Cons: Low battery life, crappy design

Acer aspire 5742 (57k Galaxy for the i5 version i guess i3 will also be available)
cons: well no body likes acer i dont either


other options are i can get it frm uk, but laptops are too expensive over there i couldnt find a suitably priced one (if u guys know any places then let me know)

getting it frm USA is quite difficult, if any pakgamers member can help me out that that will be great


Please tell me your suggestions as i want to buy ASAP

Bro, your budget is limited and you don't like ACER & DELL. Now only HP, ASUS, Sony, Compaq and Toshiba left. Sony vaio released its all new C series. A very rugged and decent notebook. Its available in both 14" and 15.3" size (personally i like this series) huh, but price will be out of your budget. You can watch prices and specs here Sony UK or Sony USA

A good dedicated graphics card , 4gb Ram, intel i series processor good battery timing all these things very hard to get in 55k.

I have a honest suggestion for you visit market and checkout different models and prices there.

However all major vendors release their new notebooks with 2nd Generation intel i series processors specially DELL (inspiron and xps series), HP (dv6 , dv7 series) & SONY VAIO (C series) Some new stuff they are offering: upgraded new dedicated graphics ATI 6000 series & NVIDIA 500 series, USB 3.0 ports, ram of 1333mhz, blu-ray e.g prices are good enough. But keep in mind different models vary different prices.

If I were in your situation I would get some decent notebook from abroad not from local market overprice models.

bro every laptop have heating issues. specially if you do gaming on them except ASUS ROG gaming laptops but they are totally out of your budget. last suggestion is visit local market, go in different shops check what items they have ask prices. make a short list which comes in your budget. then surf google if you need and make your mind. check http://www.notebookcheck.net/ for laptop reviews.
