Street Fighter V - Online Pakistani Gamers

Battle lounge gave me matches from Europe, Brazil and America.

Ranked gave me a match with a Pakistani. It's weird.

BTW I can't choose another flag once I've chose one in the beginning? I chose the default SF5 one, I want the Pakistani flag!

The connections themselves are pretty darn good, it's just the weird matchmaking and the messed up lobbies that's the problem. Hopefully this all will be sorted out by March if not sooner.

I just played 10 character's story stuff in a row and did a bit of survival. Was queued the entire time and didn't get a single casual or ranked match. Bah

I just played a bit of Rocket League and was connected to EU servers easily with a ping of less than 150 ms. Yet SFV shows me 1 ping bar for Battle Lounges. Maybe I need to remove Google DNS?

When I played locally online with @CerebralTiger, we played with 4 bars to full 5 bars.

Update: Removing DNS and going with default was a success somewhat. Had my first two ping bar match with someone from Spain. He was ranked 5.9k so it was a PERFECT KO. I am that bad, yeh

After trying a lot of matches via Battle Lounge, I have come to the conclusion that the matchmaking is just that... i.e shit.

Battle Lounge is working absolutely fine for me so far. Getting 2-3 bars with fights from EU-US users. They are mostly playable with slight lag but I still won a lot of the fights easily. But yet, I still can't get an actual ranked match with matchmaking. sigh.

Thanks to SFV, I had to complain to PTCL about my pings and maybe it did have an affect or something, because right now, my pings in Rocket League have reduced a lot and same goes for other games. But it could be just placebo effect because we all know PTCL can barely fix their own stuff

On PTCL. Have been unable to find a ranked or casual match since launch!! Only lobbies are working for me. Game shows as though I'm in Europe. I've tried everything from deleting steam cookies and using VPN to resetting steam and deleting save files. Gonna reinstall the game and see if that helps but any advice would be appreciated.

EDIT: Whoops, accidentally posted the same thing.

I've heard of people getting shown as the wrong region, but all of them had used VPNs to access the game before it launched and they seem to be finding matches fine now. Try asking around on the steam forums since this seems to be a PC specific issue.

Though I think the not getting matches problem is not related to the showing up as the wrong region problem.

ive got a funny/sad story of tonight i figured my main id had some problem with unbelieveable matchups and bullshit so i made a new id on my american psn account with a british flag(not that it matters ur still matched with arbis) got super instant matches on that id went on a 9 winning streak with around 590 lp mind you i have not seen a single laggy match in my 200+ rank games then came my first pakistani vs match against someone named chaos and holy hell no wonder why we dont get matched i was on a 9 win streak and i cudnt even move my character the entire match it was literally teleporting from 1 place to other with some extremely weird frame cuts and bullshit lost miserably lost 40 lp and gave him 70+
