So lets start. Following is my Config:

MSI 890GX
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
2GB Corsair Dominator DDR3
MSI r5770 HAWK Edition
Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600w

The problem that I am facing is that my computer boots but the monitor does not pick up any signal. I know it boots because of the windows welcome sound. The card is spinning fine with no added fan speed or does not get heat up. The display works on all the built in ports. Now I tried changing the cables, tried cleaning the slot as well as the card but to no avail. Sometimes it just starts up on the 5770 but mostly it does not catch a signal.

Here's something interesting, since my motherboard supports cross fire means I have two PCI-X slots. I read some similar problems on the internet and just now I tried plugging my card into the second slot (although its advised not to) and alas, I have display with zero problems on all the cables. Does this mean my PCI-X slot (top one) is dead or is this a power supply or graphic card issue?

bro clean ur pcie golden connector, make sure theres no dust.....place card securely
otherwise it may be the pcie slot is dead, but its first i am hearing such an issue.

try to get another card, and see if the pcie slot is dead or its gpu/psu issue.....
