Ever since Stormfiber switched to TW routing, things have had been going downhill. I have only used 3 months of Stormfiber services.

1.5 months of pie - where I was extremely happy (70 ms on SEA and 124 ms EU, all day any day). 1.5 months of TW (high pings on all destinations, especially from around 2:00 pm to 2:00 am, plus minus a few random lucky hours give or take (no consistency whatsoever).

One good thing about Stormfiber though is that I rarely get disconnected. Just the heavy/high latency and their horrendous automated response on mails/UAN when you ask them when they would get pie back - "WE DO NOT PROMISE ROUTING ONLY GG SERVICE KTHXBYE". Since I am a gamer and do not care about speeds AT ALL, this is a game breaker, sadly.

As per my experience with all ISPs, Stormfiber for me has been a let down too. I am currently using Fiberlink for gaming too. The window of shitty pings is only from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am. I have not renewed my subscription for the next month. I will monitor the situation and see how it goes.

Bro can you shed light on cs:go pings ? for fiberlink .

if its not too much of a trouble , download this simple app mm server picker , launch it , itll show u pings of all regions , u can refresh to update pings from the tray at the bottom of the app , and post a screen shot?

TW is working on new underground system, which will be active soon. Pie routing is not good these days because of the load on pie as connect and other isp has shifted to PIE

Fiberlink uses aerial cable all over poles to spread their network, which causes random disconnections. Its the biggest turn off.

So what i am gathering from this entire thread and my own experience, you should choose StormFiber for streaming and FiberLink for gaming, that is if they are available in your area.

Fiberlink has also been having problems with Streaming etc. I've done loads of testing and have come to the conclusion that either Fiberlink or Transworld is limiting indivividual connections to 100-300KB/s even on my 100Mbps connection. Downloading anything via IDM limited to 1 connection gives 100-300KB/s. Of course opening up 8-16 connections improves the speeds considerably.

frazgta you are right, i noticed it yesterday when youtube was streaming at 0.5 mbps to1 mbps while idm download were showing full bandwidth utilization. My provider is backed by transworld.

A few weeks ago i was having slow speeds on my SF connection, so i called the helpline and during our conversation the support guy mentioned something about YouTube streaming being limited to 300 kbps. So, they must actually be doing this.

Salam guys, please take a minute out for this,
So I've had Stormfiber installed today at pechs block-6, im on a 10mb package priced at 2500/pm. I was thinking of asking my neighbor for sharing, that way we can get the 30mb package for around 4500/pm. I have 3 internet users in my house, he has 2. I play FIFA on ps4, He watches netflix. So my question is, would it be better for me to get a separate 10mb package for 3 people or get a 30mb package shared between 5 people. Also, on a 30mb speed, can netflix(1080p) and online playstation gaming be used simultaneously(smoothly). your replies would be appreciated. Thanks.

30Mbps package should be able to stream + play online smoothly. Btw can you post results of SpeedOf.Me, HTML5 Speed Test | Non Flash/Java Broadband Speed Test here. Also, how is streaming/ image loading speed etc?

netflix streaming wont do any harm to ur fifa but if ur a gamer i would highly suggest to stay with ur 10 mbps who knows the other guy has a sick fantasy of downloading hd porn from torrents 24/7 which is not that rare in pakistan, then ur gaming will definetly suffer
