Hello guys, it's been a while since I was here in the HW Zone the last time.

I'm planning to pick up a SSD today for my laptop just for Windows. So I'm looking at the cheapest SSDs on Galaxy, Czone, etc, right now. A 60GB Intel/Corsair/Kingston costs 8K or thereabouts I think. I couldn't find any on IMX btw.

Since I've been completely and truly out of touch from PC hardware for the past 2-3 years, I'm clueless as to if the cheap SSDs in the market right now are good and whether they will serve my purpose or not. So I'm looking at you guys for help. Any words of advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Get kingston v200'series. Has a sf 2281 controller. I have a couple of 120gb units working trouble free for a couple fo years? If u cant find v200, v300 would do, its a cheaper version of v200 but would get the job done

Corsiar neutrons are beter but a tad expensive.

I would not go for a 60gb unit. My installation of windows 8 runs 60gb with usual prodctivity apps so def gun for a 120gb unit.

thanks Ali bhai, its good to see you still active here after a long while.

i'll probably have to break the bank for a 120gb ssd. but it's do-able. the corsair neutron 128gb costs 14k, should i get that?

there's only one v200 listed on the czone website, and im not sure which kingston models are listed on galaxy. but the kingston 120gb costs 12k, so it'll probably be between this and the neutron 128 based on your recommendation.

which one of the two would you go for?

are you selling any one of your SSDs by any chance?

also, since i have your attention, ive been looking for a NAS enclosure as well (link: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f64/nas-network-attached-storage-159717/). any help?
