Split Ac

so guys i need a split ac for mini home theater which im going to show you guys when im done. the room is not too big so a 0.5-0.75 ton ac will do. Now the problem is where will i find it from and approx price. and btw im from karachi

You can find it from any electronic appliance store. Which area do you live in?

prices would be around Rs. 20,000 if im not wrong.

We bought a 1 ton Orient for 26k in April. But then the budget was announced and taxes were increased, so it instantly jumped to 30k. Now that we're in the middle of summer, I'm sure dealers will have jacked up the prices even more.

Anyway, for the best price, go to Hashoo Center in Saddar and also roam around the surrounding area. The shops in line with Mamji Electronics also deal in local brand ACs and fridges. Talk to the dealers, do some bargaining and see what you can bring them down to. This is peak season and the dealers must be keeping a huge margin of profit, so try to make heavy bargains as well.

P.S. Just avoid Waqar Electronics at all costs. They're little more then a bunch of luteiras! >_<

but i dont want 1 ton wala i want less than that. room dimensions are 7.5 feet by 7.2 feet. and if prices are really that high then i can wait for the winters thats not too big a problem

0.5 ton will be fine for your room. Prices will be high as Ali250 mentioned, but if you need it, then don't hesitate; you wont be using it in the winters.

0.5 ton should be under 20k i think.

They're all technically the same: the cheapest possible Chinese units that can be made with the lowest quality parts. So it doesn't really matter which you get. Our old fridge and AC repair man told my dad that Orient units have been giving less complaints lately so we went for one of those.

Hashoo Center and adjoining areas have ACs in all sizes....and yeah it'd be better to wait till the winter if you can, prices will drop considerably by then.

lolzz... thanks to this thread... I have 1 ton split ac and i was going to sell that for around 8k.... .. and that has both heating a cooling system...

I thought 1.5 ton window ac is for 12k then mine wont be more than 10k... But now i think i shud sell it for about 20k...
