This is probably one of the most off topic threads possible, but I'm kinda confused and need help.
I live in a society in Lahore. Untill about August my electrical bills were paid to my society office and i was a happy man. Then the society took a deal with wapda and transferred all control of the electrical grid and billing to them.
I dident get any bills for about 4-5 months and a few days ago i just got smacked with a 42k bill.
I took a look at the bill, and the amount of units it was charging me for was fair. In four or five months i would have used this much. No problem. Then i looked at how much it was charging me for the electricity, it was all fine.
Then my eyes wandered over to the taxes section and my tandoori chicken fell out of my hand onto the floor.
38% tax??? Its mostly TC.-surcharge and Fc- surcharge but they are massive. I've never gotten billed these taxes before, what happened now? Somebody please explain.
