[SOLVED] Hotspot Shield Can't Access Youtube On MacBook Pro

AOA,

Yesterday I have bought a new MacBook pro 13 and first thing I installed was HOTSPOT SHIELD lol... but what really strange is hotspot can access all the websites except for youtube. I tried access youtube with hotspot on another laptop and it works like a charm but not on my MackBook Pro. So, I installed another program called SPOTFLUX on my MacBook Pro and youtube is working perfectly fine with it. So, is there anyone here mind helping me out on this issue?

Clear your cache by deleting cookies and history. Or try reinstalling the software, It might be that It fails to connect you to Its server and you are seeing that page cuz youtube is ban in Pakistan.

youtube is running fine with https url and 8.8.8.8 dns. Im using it without vpn. Just change dns to 8.8.8.8 and make a bookmark of the https://youtube.com page.

I have installed spotflux (www.spotflux.com) on my dad's MacBook pro and its opening YouTube. The only problem is that it reduced the buffering speed.

True and thats why I dont want to stick with spotflux on my Mac. Can you please confirm if you are also having the same issue with HS on your Mac?

However spotflux works good fr me.. i mean i just pause video on YouTube in the start fr abt 2 mins and then play it.. and then i dun experience any "pause for buffering" in between

How do u change dns on a mac OS ?

To change dns, open system preferences, then open network under internet and wireless. From there double tap your internet connection and open the dns tab. From there change it to 8.8.8.8. The reason i recommended you to use this method instead of hotspot shield was that internet becomes very slow on hotspot.

Just asked a friend if she'd similar problem, It's only you buddy!
Look up your IP address after starting protection. If it does not change your location to someplace where youtube is accessible, download a fresh copy of Hotspot. But first use a program like CCleaner or Revo uninstaller to wipe out any leftover files from previous installation and fix registry errors. Also whitelist It in your firewall. Restoration would work only if the software had worked fine anytime before. If the problem still persists, there are other ways to get around blocked sites.
