Silverstone Technology is a well known designer for Power supply from years. Been into designing Power supply since 2003 and has a great reputation among enthusiasts around the globe. Headquartered in Taiwan and has distribution centres across the world. While Silverstone Technology is famous for being quality Power supply Designers, Cases and Cooling solutions have been its second most quality product line upon which SilverStone has gained a lot of market share in entire PC market. Lately announced a Liquid cooling solution for Overclock system which are more in talking these days, but what I have here is top tier air cooler. Courtesy of Silverstone Technology.
Today, I am focusing on Silverstone Heligon Series HE01, the dual tower heatsink cooler. The heligon HE01 is a 140mm Cooler with 161mm tall allows to install in almost every Mid-Tower case. The cooler comes with single 140mm fan having 2000 revolution per minute at pure performance mode, while it do offer a quiet mode as well. It has 6 nickel plated heatpipes and the aluminum fins to ensure the quality thermal results. Heligon is well crafted heatsink that is compatible even for the 300W CPUs which makes heligon HE01 to support Intel 2011 and AMD AM2 platforms. Additionally, Heligon also support AM4 sockets but for that you'd need to order the HE01 v2 cooler from Silverstone Technology website.
The Twin-Tower definitely has something to reveal, let’s see what it got.

The package and The Content

Here we have a chocolate brown color, cardboard box with lots of content over it. A Company name, Cooler model and features contented on top of the box, alongside the cooler sketched on the right. The cooler is pictured at the bottom of the box. though it still not clear just a sketch drawn for general idea.

Around the side, Box is filled with core and additional specifications. which allows users to have information before get inside the product.

My first impression upon opening the box is the manual appeared at the top and some portion of cooler visible behind to it. The packaging was absolutely fantastic, 2 white foams tightly covered each ends of cooler make the product impossible to defect during transit, and is impressive.

I unboxed the cooler and found there are separate boxes for accessories and a fan. The accessories are in numbers, listing them down for clear readability.

Heligon Series HE01 is something and I absolutely mean it. When I unboxed the cooler I really am astonished to see its quality; fins are well polished and to be honest, it has guts to be compared with Noctua coolers. Company logo and Name is engraved on top of the heatsinks, can easily be seen in pictures.
Heligon looks quite elegant and while it has a beautiful look, fingerprint magnet are detected may not be a good sign. The proof of the effect can be seen in the picture.

Although either heatsink has differential dimensions, the quality in admirable, to say the least. On the other hand, one side could imbalance the stand of cooler, if you want to place it somewhere on table quickly, the thinner heatsink takes all the pressure and could fall on a side. Anyways, it’s just a thought not something that could affect the product while in the operation.

The bottom is copper base and have a brushed design on it, 6 heatpipes of 6mm made up of nickel plated moving up to the top through fins.

While Heligon comes with only a single fan, it is by far the largest fan I’ve ever encounter or tested. It looks pretty simple one, but it has significant feature. The black PWM fan not only offers noisy performance mode, but mitigate the noise from a simple switch located at the top of the fan. Which allows to fan to run in Q-Quiet mode if users are not comfortable with the noise produce via Performance mode.
Installation

The installation was quite simple to say the least. The back plate and its long screws should be mounted in from backside to ascertain the backup. Next step is to slide in the plastic stand-offs and place the 2x Intel mounting bars onto them on each sides. Then deploy the nuts to tighten the mounting bars on all four panels.

After strings are done, just place the heatsink n top of the chip and use crossbar to fix the heatsink. Finally, place the fan between the two towers, clipped it with a supplied steel clips.
The bad part is fan clips. Users might feel tedious on mounting this fan since the clips are not allowing enough hold in hands and little loose even after installing. So it could turn into a tedious work especially for those who are mounting it while having in the case. This definitely needs patience and focus.
Clearance and Compatibility

The heligon HE01 twin tower has worked out on couple of aspects, the clearance and compatibility besides, the performance. This cooler has an edge of a tower being slimmed which allows DRAM slots and height to be cleared effectively. If you can see the picture, the A1 slot on motherboard is absolutely free from any obstruction that could arise from heatsink. So Heligon is a perfect Dual-tower for such dual channel motherboards. Thumbs up for that.

On the other hand, the PCIe slot is not even near to the heatsink. The sit tight heatsink is well off the slot and even if the GPU is installed, the gap is lust, Thanks to designers at Silverstone Technology. At this point, I might not vouch for x99 platform motherboards. But for dual channels, there won’t be any issue whatsoever.
Clearance and compatibility are absolutely great for Silverstone Heligon HE01.
