Silent Hill Movie Sequel Confirmed?

Ain't It Cool News reporter Quint got a chance to speak with actress Laurie Holden—she played police officer Cybil Bennett in the original Silent Hill film—who revealed that producers were "going forward with a sequel" but that original director Christophe Gans was currently undecided about returning.
The original, while not a hit with critics, did excellent business, grossing some $97 million worldwide, according to IMDB. Michael McWhertor

last year, it was a good movie, probably one of the best game to movie conversions yet.

The first movie was so incredibly well done (with the exception of the ending where all guts of humanity flew overhead). Let's have a hoping this is equally as good as the first one.

im just hoping they scrap the story continuity and make a movie from scratch and have it based on silent hill 2's storyline. Thats the best and probably only stand alone SH storyline
