So I have this laptop that I've been looking to sell, I finally made a deal with someone who resides in Rawalpindi and I'm located in Karachi. What's the safest way to ship a laptop from KHI to RWL?

Honestly, if you pack it properly, you can ship it through whoever you want.

Let's break it down

1) TCS:
Advantages:
-Um.... The tracking sorta works.
-Their Hazir Time Choice shipment option usually works for me. Give them a time and they'll deliver it on that time.
-They offer insurance.

Disadvantages:
-Expensive.
-The fragile sticker on the box will only work if their employees could actually read. Unfortunately, they throw the boxes around without even knowing what's in them.

2) Leopards
Advantages:
-Cheap as shit.
-Their call center is retarded so there's a good chance they give you the number of the dispatch center in that city if you wanna track your shipment.

Disadvantages:
-Morons.
-Slow af.
-Tracking status is updated 2 weeks after your shipment gets delivered.
-No guarantee your shipment actually reaches.

3) M&P (formerly OCS):
Advantages:
-Cheaper than TCS (I think)
-Them and TCS share a chartered jet, although this is kinda irrelevant, I just needed to give them a 2nd advantage so it would look good.

Disadvantages:
-Retarded riders who can't find a house they've delivered to 100 times before.
-They give their riders shitty bikes. I saw one of them pushing his bike up a street because it broke down.
-Tracking is inconsistent.

But like I said, pack it well, styrofoam, that weird foamy paper thingy that you can cover the laptop with, have cardboard pieces inside the box that hold the laptop in place and stop it from moving around and emphasize to the guy when you're booking the shipment that he should plaster the fragile or handle with care sticker all over the box and make sure it's handled WITH CARE if their employees even know what that means.

Good luck.

Lmao! Thanks for the entertaining yet detailed reply. So according to you I should go with TCS right? Should I ask for a specific mode of shipment or just let them do their thing? Also, is it OK to let them know that it's a laptop? Like I don't want them to steal it or anything.

And what's with the insurance? Is it cheap, is it expensive?

Yeah I guess TCS would be the way to go. And yeah you'll have to tell them it's a laptop, the guy inspects the package before he packs it.
Mode of shipment? Usually overnight but you can ask for Time Choice which delivers it at a specific time to the receiver.

Insurance depends on the value of the item that you declare. So if you tell them it's a 50,000 laptop, they'll charge 1% of that, so 500 for insurance.
Most people say it's a gimmick and it's just a way for TCS to earn money, but idk, I like being on the safe side whenever I ship stuff.

Right! Actually the person I'm dealing with said, ask for 'hand carry' idk if that's like a service that they offer or if it's just an alias for 'handle with care'. Would you know anything about that?

Never heard of it.

I shipped a laptop to mental a few weeks back, the TCS guy put a handle with care and fragile sticker on the box without even asking so I'm not sure.
