Serious problem.... Needs immediate attention!!!!

guys, i just bot a used, in 2-3 months warranty, HUAWEI U8850 also known as HUAWEI VISION, last thrusday, for my sister..


problem ye hai k my phones signal drops, not internet connection, the nework signal... wifi works perfectly thou... & edge/;gprs barely work, due to shitty signals.

now d trouble is, i bot this set for 10.5k, whereas new is around 14.5k.....shud i show to the network ppl, telenor in particular doesnt work almost at all.. also iv checkd u-fone & zong on it(uphone worked for 2 days widout a drop),... de drop too, but very little. or shud i go to huawei repair centre???

pls tel me what shud i do, coz my sis will basicaly use this phone in dubai.. now i want to make sure, if anybody here has faced this problem as wel, how to go abt it!!! also is this repair warranty covered???

go into settings-network there meust be some setting searching for network see if automatic is chosen option in it change the option to manual it will search for network you want to use for eg telenor select it and then see what happens same problem was for me in galaxy s2

bro i did that... pehle to chootiya network he nahe dikha raha tha... den wen it finally did... it worked for like.........1 min :... phir ghaib ho jata hai if u move it suddenly or if u try sending msg etc... dont know wats wrong

Wait check this thing! Same thing happened with my dad's Xperia U.
I went to the phone app (dial pad).
Type *#*#4636#*#* and then choose Phone Information and then scroll down and tap on the thing that'll say something like GSM only or GSM Auto or WCDMA.
Click on that and choose GSM Auto (PRL).
It helps. At least it did for me.

tnx for the help bro, i did wat u said, but to no avail... good, but sad, part is that i went 2 saddar 2day (from whr i got the phone) & d asshole network never dropped one bit.. its only wen i just came back home, now its not responsding again ... samaj nahe arahe kya chakar hai

now heres the good part... i got this phone for 10500/-... the shop owner (luckily my friend) gave me al 3 options 1. take money back 2. exchange wid another used phone,same price or different 3. exchange wid brand new phone , same price

now i saw that new has ALOT of advantages as wel as disadvantages. the thing is iv got 6 phones to select from, within this price range ,give or take 500rs.
1.huawei ascend y201 - 11k
2. huawei y 210D - 9500
3. qmobile a5 classic -10500
4. qmobile a2 - 8500
5 samsung pocket & y - 11k
6 htc explorer & wildfire S - 10/11k

which to choose from, if incase the set is REALLY not working? remember, the signals work outside the house, i tried both u-fone & telenor to be sure...

The dealer price for A7 is 12,200 and these days to push sales Q is offering 200 incentive per unit.

If he is really your friend then he should give you A7 for 12,000.

Maybe u have got ufone version of huawei vision
Thats why ufone sim is working fine and other sims are giving problems

Try to unlock it to all networks
Go to mobile shop who flashes the mobiles firmwares
They will unlock it to all networks.

i got it checkd from local guy.. he said dat it will only get fixed by Airlink Communication (the guys who cover the warranty of the Huawei apparently),since no1 has the software to flash the set

Yaar i bought huawei u8800 from bluffmaster
Which ufone launched and he unlocked it from a mobile shop.

And u8800 which i bought supported all networks i tried.
