Have you checked out the shops in Saddar? I'm also interested in certain Seiko models but don't know where to start looking.

Gentlemen, wrong place to post if you're looking for a watch. Forget Casio. Go for Seiko or Citizen. How much is your budget?

A good Seiko Chronograph can be easily had for around Rs. 10,000. Citizen's can be cheaper. Casio even more. I would recommend looking at Fossil as well. Its a cheap reliable brand (american).

In Seiko, you'll be able to find a lot of variety in the Seiko 5 watches. Those are automatic (no battery required) but are not very accurate compared to a quartz watch but an Automatic watch is a classier thing to have.

And whatever you do, don't buy a replica watch.

Thanks [MENTION=2782]RovingCalypso[/MENTION]. Although this isn't my thread I don't think I am breaking any rules by responding. I think the OP mentioned Casio but I completely agree that Seiko and Citizen (and also Orient btw) are much better Japanese watch brands all using highly reliable in-house movements. Seiko 5 is indeed a great affordable option for someone looking to buy their first mechanical watch. I am however more interested in older Seiko models from the 70s and 80s (caliber nos. 6138, 6139, 7A28 and 7A38 in particular - the latter 2 being quartz movements) since I am a fan of vintage watches and I thought Seiko would be the only brand readily available in Pak considering that the London Watch Co. in Saddar Karachi has been around forever and they are an authorized Seiko dealer.
