As salam mu alekum! I'm having some overheating issues with my handset Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. I bought it last Ramadan so it has been almost a year now, worked smooth till now. Sometimes the back side gets overheated that it's even hard to touch the surface.

Do you have any idea what is causing this problem? Is it the battery that is producing heat due to some crappy apps installed? I don't have any random apps installed though, just the regular ones. Also, the device gets laggy sometimes, I don't know what's the reason behind it. I recently checked from the Application Manager that around 600 MB is free so it shouldn't be the issue. I'm not very technical when it comes to mobiles.

Please mention the solutions. Every bit counts.

It's not restarting. It produces heat while I'm listening to songs, watching videos, surfing the Internet or doing regular activities.
Every phone does that.
Including my S5, it's okay unless the phone gives you the Overheat notification and it starts doing weird shit like the screen moves itself and the phone will freeze and reboot in Safe Mode.
My S4 did that right after updating to 5.0.1

So as long as your phone is working fine when its hot, then there's no problem.
