God, this game is boring as hell. The executions get tiresome after the first few times and the combat is just shallow as hell. I already feel like I wasted space.

just keep on playing for the music, visuals and them sweet sweet executions!!

Guys i installed Ryse. I cannot see 1080p resolution in the graphics section Just 720p and getting 30 fps despite the fact that v sync and super sampling are turned off.My display is 1080p enabled. GFX card is AMD R9290,i7 3770,8GB RAM.Need help

So i have started my proper gameplay, and since yesterday, playing slowly and consistently, i have reached the Fourth Level.

Welcome to the Fourtheenth Son.​

The beauty just dazzles me at every corner. Its looks absolutely spectacular. Jaw dropping cinematics, and gorgeous golden-lining armor.

But i can see that its not really a technically achieved game, as i had hoped it would be. Granted, it looks orgasmic beautiful, but they are cutting corners discreetly.
- Like the 'fire burning', or 'grass moving'.
- Water 'looks' beautiful, but it doesn't have the same level of tessellation i have seen before (say, in Crysis 3).
I also don't like how the screen is filled with too much information. And fonts are just too big.

Moving on, Whoever that women is, she has got my attention Almost every other game has at least one such character which pulls you into the game.

On a glance, RYSE feels like a 'very easy' game. But its NOT. Yea, its linear ... a bit too linear, quite frankly. But the combat is not as easy as it seems. Despite having easier controls, it still feels mildly challenging to get the blocks, attacks and executions right. But its FUN, and thats what matters.

My favorite game-play element so far, which i ABSOLUTELY ADORED.
+ Battle formation. It feels really really awesome every single time I am now at 4th stage and this one thing i am enjoying HIGHLY :2cool: The voice acting keeps the enthusiasm up, so them 'warriors' are doing something right lol.

VISUALS:
+ Spectacular. Orgasmic. Ravishing. No other way to put it. The beauty dazzles you around every corner.
+ Mind boggling Lightening. Such Realism.
+ Detail level in Cinematics and the player & enemies' armor, next level stuff.
- Water could have been better.
- Visuals 'look' stunning, but the 'technical' achievement (water tessellation, dynamic shadows didn't seem to be there. (Not sure if its due to hardware limitation or intentional. Physics should've been a key aspect of this game)
- Hated the Console Resolution forced down our throat.


GAMEPLAY:
+ Easy to play. Mildly challenging.
+ My absolutely favorite moment. "Battle Formation". Loved it EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.
+ My favorite mission. Well, loved all of them, except the ones where there is no or less lightening or greenery.
- Linear. A bit too linear, perhaps. Had this game been an open world, even if semi-open, it would have been twice the fun.
- QTE (Quick Time Events) are killing it. When they said 'we don't need QTE and can play it anyway', i agree. We Can. BUT, we are forced to use them anyway, because ... Regenerative Health and Focus modes.
- Focus Mode makes the game too easy.
- Executions are bloody awesome BUT, too short in numbers.
- The hardest difficulty is not as hard as it should be.


STORY/PLOT
+ "Legend" stuff is BS to me. So take it as a fantasy. Regardless, i actually liked the story.

Death of Marius and Vitalion, freaking UNNEEDED. But wait. Do you know whats better than a Hero? "A DEAD HERO". So yeah ... morons.

CHARACTERS:
+ Its funny and amazing at the same time to see that it has well thought out characters. Marius, Boudica, Vitalion and Summer.
+ Sexy Goddess of Revenge Summer. What else to say, when 99% of her mammaries are hanging out. Mysteriously Hot :looking:
+ That 'perfect @$$hole'. I am talking about that moron celebrating in the midst of 'naked b*tches' -_- (I must admit that moment took my by surprise. I didn't expect such a moment to be in the game.)
+ Voice Acting. Marius and Vitalion did absolutely terrific. Morale Boosting, High Motivation. Had its magic.
+ "We gods play our games". "But the games have rules". "AWWW ... "
+ I am Damocles. I am Vengeance. You. Are. Next. :2cool:


SO ... MY FINAL THOUGHTS?

The fact that its a Console Port for PC, with a handful of touch-ups for PC (excluding the visuals), this obviously did not receive a special attention and catering it deserves. In many ways, its a tad worse than Crysis 3. Due to too simple and linear gameplay, its production value is like a high budget movie, and its amazing in its own way. It wants to be a benchmark for most beautiful game on PC to-date, and kinda achieves it as well ... but its like RYSE knows its not going that title any good, but still continues to dominate that title.

But deep down, i now kind agree with those people who will claim it to be a 'movie' and not a game. I mean, comon. Auto Aim of that rifle arrow, assisted blocking with shield, zero difference between right (yellow) and left (blue) click while fighting ... thats Consolization right there. Not to mention that final scene

pursuing 'scumbag Nero' :tv: I never face palmed so hard at the level of 'bland QTEs' used there.

BUT, its Mind Boggling beautiful, and I am a sucker for such Visuals ... and I adore CryTek :ninja:. RYSE has its problems, But guess what, I LOVED IT. So screw the haters and the critics. I am my own Critic. 8/10. I may proceed to play it once again, to find the missing Scrolls and other hidden Collectibles.

Ryse (TM) has stopped working :/

Anybody got any solution please?
