My 2 MB Student package is changed to 4 Mb Promotion package by PTCL and Guess What i was getting same 2 MB speed until i used my old links in PTCL(Old Office Colleages) and now enjoying 4 Mb these Days

​Bro Access your router page and check Down Stream and Up Stream Rate,also check Downloading Speed from Speed Test and most Important check your Bill how much they charging you

upstream = 362

also speed test results show me around 1.5mpbs & also I received 1439.37 dsl charges in ptcl bill instead of 1250.

so I still have doubt they will charge me 2mbps charges in the next bill also.

in last bill they charged me 1549 dsl charges as it's for 2mbps but I can understand I had been using 2mbps free promotion as I was unaware but after complaining they told me that my package will be reverted in 24hrs.

but as I said earlier I still received more charges in the bill even after complaining.

Bro Your Downstream is ok but upstream is low it should be 512 kb instead of 362.
for 2 mb connection theoretically

downstream = 2048 upstream = 512
any thing near these values is Good

summary is call them and ask ur package and if promotion offer is over than change ur package according to your budget

bro Ur modem sync on 2 mb connection may be u have a Copper line i had also faced this 1.5 Mb speed scene on my 1 mb connection when i was on copper

bro ur bill amount clearly shows that u r not on 1 mb any more,as 1439 and 1549 are not 1 mb charges call them ask them ur package and if it is 1 mb then ask them to make sure u will get 1250 rs bill which is obviously 1 mb charges and keep enjoying 1.5 mb on 1 mb charges

dunno whether it's on copper or fiber optic, I just called them again, they said u r using 1mbps but when I asked about more charges received they said call 1236 but I didn't call yet as he also said maybe it was some adjustment in the bill as might be complained late.

anyways even with 1439 dsl charges, my bill amount payable is just 1050. also noticed 885 amount is deducted as arrears in current bill so let's hope 1250 dsl charges will be shown in next month bill

Yes but they wont do , ask your area line man to do for you .. I got mine port changed to fiber optic , and my ping is now down to 50-60ms from 100-110ms.

Say that your profile values are not ~4096 download ,ask them to upgarde your profile , keep pressing 2 untill broadband wala apko khud call kare(usually after 2 days) , for fiber , they usually do it for SOME , but i manage to get it for a cold glass of water , but i waited for 2 weeks..

visit your Area PTCL exchange and submit an application for line change from copper to Fiber,and then offer Biryani+Cold Drink to ur line man and u r done

The sync values are abnormal,if he has 4 mb package then sync values should be DS 4096 & US 1024.
Unfortunately the only solution of this issue is to call 1218.
Ur friend surely get awesome uploading speed and slower downloading.

Do you have a static IP?
And why in the world do you need a webserver?
Plus do you have a webserver program running on your machine?
How did you check if your ports were open or not?
