Browsing has been shitty throughout the day for me, net has been acting up since a few days but today browsing is damn shitty.

went to ptcl customer care today to get bill,so many people jusf waiting for their turn,i also had to wait alot even while sitting right next to csr

Next level speed throttling. Getting 50 kbps max direct download on a 4 Mbps line. Torrents are worst.

Exactly, last few eves I have been noticing this drop. Every evening the speed of my 2mb is reduce to 175Kbps while upload is 200Kbps. This is epic shit.

That looks fine to me. Its always like this with PTCL in the evening. This is because they have given too many connections and they don't have the bandwidth to back it up. Its pretty evident from how the speeds go down at 4-5 pm(people come home from school/office) and gets better after 11-12 am(people go to sleep).

Nah, they've a lot of bandwidth (more than needed), the problem in evenings is a local capacity issue, the gateways get choked :laugh1:

You have it good. I have to see a drop from 450 kbps direct to a mere 50. However, the upload speeds on my end are pretty stable in the 80-100 kbps range.

Well bros. in my case my 2Mb student connection has been upgraded to 4MB connection without any notice and informing me...............i m having more than 500 KB/S downloading speed now.
