Question about police

I'd like to report a crime, but I've been told I won't be able to report it anywhere other than the local police station where the crime occurred.
That doesn't make sense to me.

I'd like to ask others on here, if you're able to report a crime to a police station other than the nearest one where the crime occurred?
Can you report by phone, email or a different police station?

I know this isn't gaming related but I'm in a bit of a conundrum.

the law states that the crime has to be reported to the police station under whose jurisdiction the crime happened...in kpk you can use their official app to report a crime online ...other provinces you have to go to the police station in person to report the crime...even in kpk you can report the crime online but have to show up to the area police station to make it official .....there is no other way around it

You can only report to the police station who's jurisdiction it happened under in.

You need to go to the police station under whose jurisdiction the area lies where the incident occurred.
E.g. the crime happened at Mall Rd., you would then have to report it to police station located there.
You will have to ask around to find which police station you are supposed to go.
I suggest go to the nearest police station and tell them about incident. They should guide you, or better yet why not call 15?
