AOA guys.
I would like to ask you guys that, did anyone of you exceeded the fair usage policy limits of PTCL in a given month?
Here is the link to the page which shows the limit for the packages.
https://www.ptcl.com.pk/Home/PageDetail?ItemId=439&linkId=1022
Is this limit real or just fake like that 3-5 years ago there was 300 GB limit on 4mb+ packages.
I'm a little confused to be honest. I'm currently using 25 Mb VDSL PTCL. I DL around 1 Terabyte from 1 Jan to 15 Jan 2020 and after that I called 1218 guys and asked them abt how much I dl this month so far and the helpline guy said 292 GB but when I checked my dl amount on ptcl site it shows accurately as above 1 TB. I also record manually whenever I dl something, so what does that mean? Is their bandwidth calculator not accurate or wat? And did anyone payed extra in their bill when they crossed the 2 TB limit for 20 Mb+ packages which I personally think is way lower. It should be atleast 5 TB IMHO.
So my simple question to this community is this 2 TB limit is real or just to scare people so they don't cross this limit. Maybe they put it so ptcl customers don't share their net with neighbors or maybe just scare tactics.
People who uses other services like Stormfiber/Transworld/Fiberlink, can they also share their experiences in this thread that how much data cap these other ISPs also put on their customers.
