PTCL DSL connectivity and speed, Help pls...

hi. i am having frequent disconnection and when its connected for like 2 minutes, i get upstream of around 190-210kbps and varying downstream speeds. sometimes its 2000 sometimes its 3000..

yeah just lodged 3rd complaint in the last 4 days... strange these complaints get resolved themselves without any notice or support... typical PTCL.

yesterday paid Rs 6000 bill (for 2 months)... ab lein gy na mujhsy ye bill... #KKB

Then Lodge a complaint on PTA website with your complaint reference number, PTA will contact you explain them your line/internet problems and your PTCL exchange personnel's behavior.

bro i have 4Mbps. i dont use telephone at all. infact i dont even have a set. last month bill pay nae kia tha. is lye last month ka bill + surcharges + is month ka bill = Rs 5970/_ ONLY

Okay, so my internet keeps disconnecting every 10 minutes. I have the PTCL 4mbps broadband connection. I called to lodge a complaint and they said it's because you're using the internal wiring system of your house to transmit the signal. Direct khambay se kar lo to koii masla naii aaye ga. For me, that's just not possible because the khamba is on the opposite side of the road infront of my house and it'll look ugly as fuck. I called the lineman today and he said kahein short circuit hua wa hai aap ke ghar ki wiring. Someplace some wire got earthed and thats causing the disturbance in my phone line leading to the frequent DCs. What do i do?

sub C-PAN he in PTCL walo ka. i swear i have been mentally frustrated by these A-holes for the past 15 days. i have decided now not to pay the bill until they disconnect my line. there has been NO response to me what so ever. meny line man ko ghar bulaya, he checked the line and everything. line is fine. the problem is with the ports and the exchange back-end department of DSL is not doing anything for that. i swear im so frustrated i cant even tell u guys! they are just pathetic.

My internet also restarts after 5-6 Minutes and i can't even play Multiplayer games because of this.But sometimes the internet works fine without restarting if someone had this problem and has fixed it now please tell me the solution i would be very thankful !

The only fix to this problem is good quality line, check your SNR/Attenuation.

Can you tell me how can i check my SNR? i know you can check at @192.168*** but if you tell me the steps i will be helpful ! My Router is 2005-2011 SAGEMCOM

The numbers look very bad, if you're on Copper then change your line to Fibre (ONU) by calling 1236 (they might redirect you to your exchange) if it's available in your area they will upgrade your line but your number will also be changed
