This is the most absurd thing I have ever read in the last few months. I found this very stupid and issue of privacy.

Current govt is copy/pasting China State surveillance model and applying it here. Pakistanis need to understand that their govt is slowly taking their freedoms away from them, and we MUST speak against stuff like this. Very soon you won't be able to criticize your govt anymore if things keep on going like this.

who would be stupid enough to get VPN registered?
they put new regulations every few days and their deadlines get extensions day after day

many types of VPN.
many companies run site to site/point to site/remote access VPNs. this is what this is referring to I believe. you can have VPN running form here to lets say foreign location X. and on that VPN you may be running video/audio calls, that is what they want to thwart imo. they could care less what VPN ordinary user uses.
