Sony Has Said in a press release the PS3 gives "consumers the most features and functionality out of the box," and with no "immediate need to upgrade," it quickly becomes more attractive in comparison to the competition

If you look at it technically.....PS 3 is cheap....i mean with the Blue-Ray player functionality....But if you only and only wanna play games on it....Then it becomes a little problem...:)

Difficult to say at the moment since I don't own PS3 but definitely I'll purchase it. Hoping for get it more cheaper in about 2-4 months!!

Guys Wake up !! PS3 is way cheap then xbox 360 in Pakistan !! Look at PS3 !! 7th Cell Processor !! With this much power it is worth more then $2000 !! Look at xbox 360 . What is it ? A Tri core system !! It can't match PS3 not in my eyes it can't !! Just get up and take a look at Ps3 and 360 Prices . Arcade costs 28K whereas 40GB PS3 costs 33K and even 20GB Xbox 360 costs 36K and 60Gb costs 38K !!

7>3 Math?
Cell Processor doesnt not have 7 Independent Cores they r more like Sub Cores designed to divide work load of I/O Sound Render Shading etc between the sub Cores
it iz in no way a 7 Core Processor :S

anyway, i think this thread is different from the price cut thread.

i think this one is out because sony gave a comparison, between the three consoles.



sony states the fact that overall, over a year of use, the ps3 is cheaper than the x360.

the cost of the hdd isn't the main thing sony's stressing.....

..... it's their free psn service. xbl costs a certain amount every month.

plus the free wi-fi and stuff.

@Hamza i think u didnt check out the gamespot comparison xbox 360 beats ps3 in mutiplatform games plus whatever iam a pc fan no1 can beat PC in FPS and RTS

i WAS a ps3 fanboy but now i am a 360 fanboy because xbox360 beats ps3 in each and every way! believe me.

XBOX360= AWESOMEST THING IN THE WORLD!

ps3=shittiest thing in the world.
