PS3 HDMI HELP NEEDED urgent

SO I FINALLY BOUGHT A PS3 FROM HERE IN PINDI..BUT instead odf everything working smoothly as i intended i face a new problem..

Since i dont have a tv, i wanted to connect my ps3 to my monitor which is ibm thinkvision 19 inch LCD with vga and dual link dvi-d support..I bought a hdmi to dvi cable and when i pluged it in with my ps3, the message came that "signal out of reach". After that the screen went black..iev tried everyhting but the display wont show with hdmi to dvi cable.

iev tried using the composite connectors with a tv device and attaching it to the ps3..the display shows but the graphics and the game visuals are soo pixelated, its like playing ps1..Also the resolution in the options menu shows standard and when i try to get it to 560 r 720 the screen turns blue..

So i wanted to know how can i use my dvi to hdmi so that i could get some better graphics..My monitor is the following..

Your monitor is probably not HDCP compliant. And its not widescreen either so you can't play games on it from PS3 via HDMI.

Only way is to use those composite wires and that will give only standard definition graphics, so obviously they will look lame.

Buy a new monitor/T.V if you wanna get HD graphics.

If your monitor is not HDCP supported u cant play using hdmi buy new lcd or led

Or buy xbox 360 it gives good graphics even on composite cable
