are inkjets less expensive? not used regularly meaning, they have to be used on a daily basis or weekly?
Yes inkjets are less expensive but the cartridges cost same as a new printer, also cartridges available in a new inkjet are only test cartridges with half level inks.

Generally cartridges can be refilled locally for 300/400 Rs for 3/4 times and then new cartridge will cost the same as new printer.

Laserjet printers are expensive ~18k for a new one but prints are very fast and crisp only black though and a single drum can be refilled atleast 10 times if not more. But these days used slightly older laser printers can be had under 10k rande I myself recently bought a HP printer for 7k and its working great since 3 months now.

Get a used HP1102. Pros if you can get a wireless functionality one. Gonna cost you around 8-10K i guess. The only thing that you might have to change is the pickup roller as they go bad once in 6 months or so. And refill the toner, costs around 300-400 PKR.

Thanks bro, new one costs around 14.5K on daraz (https://www.daraz.pk/products/hp-laserjet-pro-1102-i140800613.html). Will have a look in market.

On a side note, how are these all in one for home use?

Looks okay but the speed is too low. 7.5 ppm means 7.5 pages per minute for black. Compare that with hp1102 18 page per minute. Other way around its 8 seconds for 1 page vs 3 sec for 1 page.

Saddar. Lahore.
Used HP printers work fine. I just got myself an hp 201dw. It's a high res duplex printer with wifi. Easy connectivity with an iphone. Costs around 15k. Comes with a full toner that prints around 2k pages and refill costs 300rs. A new toner costs 1.5k if you need a spare one.

If you don't need wifi hp2015 is also a good option which is around 11k.

If you're from Lahore, Malik Printers in Hafeez Centre is a good shop. They give you a 2 month warranty as well.
