[h=1]PUBG is resetting its leaderboards early, play will be unranked for now[/h]
[h=2]The beginning of the next season has not yet been announced[/h]

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has made the unusual decision to reset its leaderboards early, prior to announcing the start of the game’s next competitive season. According to a Tweet sent early this morning, Battlegrounds’ leaderboard will be reset today at 6 p.m. PT. That gives players just a few more hours to gain ranks before the season is over.
The last time that the leaderboard was reset was at the end of January. Prior to that it was also reset when the game emerged from Early Access.
The decision comes amidst a flurry of criticism from fans that cheating is on the rise. Numbers from the BattleEye service that handles some of the game’s anti-cheat functions indicate that more than 2.5 million accounts have been banned through January. At that rate, that could mean more than 4 million players banned through February, which would be more than 13 percent of the game’s player base.
Just last week the developers at PUBG Corp. admitted that combating cheaters had slowed progress on improving the game. “Development of some of the major features and systems was delayed as our focus shifted towards tightening our anti-cheat effort,” PUBG Corp. said in the game’s official forums on Steam.
PUBG Corp. has not set a start date for the next season, but promises it will soon.

Yes, drop into high populated areas every time, kill some people and learn the gun mechanics, bullet drops, adjust your in-game sensitivity to something that can make you accurate.
Don't play the hide and seek game, won't help you learn the game.

[h=1]PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds comes to mobile[/h]
[h=2]Android version available in Canadian Google Play Store[/h]

It’s a big week for battle royale on the go. The mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the one developed by Tencent Games and previously released as PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield in China, is now available for Android in North America.
PUBG Mobile for Android got a soft launch in Canada this week. It’s available to download from Google Play, as long as you’re in Canada (or can convince the Google Play Store that you’re in Canada). The Android version of the game requires Android 5.1.1 or above and at least 2 GB of RAM, according to the game’s listing.
The mobile version of PUBG is mostly faithful to its PC and Xbox One counterpart; it features the game’s original map, though it’s understandably less graphically impressive.
PUBG Mobile was released in Canada the same day that the game’s chief competitor, Epic Games’ Fortnite: Battle Royale, came to iOS devices in preview form.

[h=1]PUBG on Xbox One should run better after today[/h]

[h=2]Good news for console PUBG players[/h]

The Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launched with a heavily revised interface and some issues with its performance. Work has already been done to improve how the game runs on Microsoft’s console, but it’s still a long way from feeling optimized.
Today’s patch should help with that issue, as well as introduce some improvements to the game’s inventory system.
“The team’s efforts on ‘Patch 11’ have been focused on continued performance optimization, and stability improvements across the family of Xbox consoles,” the patch notes state. “We are also introducing changes to inventory management, in an effort to increase the speed at which players can navigate menus and change their loadout.”
Here are the biggest adjustments in today’s patch:
Performance / Optimization / Stability
Implemented texture changes to improve graphical performance
Optimized vehicle profiles to improve frame rate
Additional fixes to reduce crashes
UI/UX (Inventory)
The layout of the inventory has been improved, adding focal points to identify selected areas, a clearer button guide and tooltips
Improved selection of weapon slots and attachments - players can change the focus and selection by using the D-Pad
Quick scrolling has been added by using LT/RT buttons
More work will be done to improve how the game runs on the Xbox One and the Xbox One X in the coming months, according to the official roadmap.
“To put it bluntly, we are simply not satisfied with the game’s current console performance, and especially so during tense moments of onscreen action,” an official forum post from March 8 explained. “We have found some immediate opportunity to increase frame rate through changes to Erangel’s building materials, as well as some reduction to in-game foliage composition. Until we are completely satisfied in the quality and reliability of the experience, efforts to optimize performance will be an ongoing hi-priority issue.”

[h=1]PUBG’s newest map will have its first play test next week[/h]

[h=2]Get ready for Codename: Savage[/h]

The newest map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is now being called Codename: Savage, is going to be revealed in a few short days with the map’s first private alpha test, developer PUBG Corp. announced today.
Unlike the two existing PUBG maps, which are both 8 km by 8 km, Savage will be the game’s first 4 km by 4 km map, creating the conditions for a much more intense and fast-paced game. Little else has been revealed about the map, outside of a few screenshots that make it look like it’s set in a jungle.
PUBG Corp. said today this is the earliest it has ever released content to the public, something the studio is trying in hopes of getting better feedback throughout the map development process. Because the map is in such an early alpha state, PUBG Corp. will only make the first test available to a limited number of players.
The initial test period will run from 7 p.m. PT on Monday, April 2, to 4 a.m. PT on Thursday, April 5. PUBG Corp. has yet to officially announce how players can get in to the map’s alpha test, but according to the post, more details will be available Monday.
