Salam,

As the post title suggests, i need help building a 'NEW' PC. I've been out of the PC gaming and building world (due to office :-O) for quite some time now, so no clue whats happening in that arena. Nowadays i've got some time for gaming (thankfully) and funds for a decent (i hope) under a budget of 100k. Thats for display and the CPU. I have the peripherals (kb, mouse, headphones etc.). i hope i can get a 1080 gaming experience in my budget, that dollar rise is definitely gonna suck for me right now. Need everything NEW, some bad experiences with second hand purchases :-(. Will be playing some battlefield, fortnite and dota2.

I think that sums it up, so if anyone here got some seconds for some recommendations, then i'm all ears.

P.S. pakgamers has always been the goto place for me for asking for things like this so i'm hoping for some valuable info...NO PRESSUE OFCOURSE :p

A GTX 1080 at this budget is going to be hard, keep in mind that little things do add up costs significantly. I'm thinking like:

i5 4570 + motherboard (about 22k I think?) or Ryzen 5 1600 + motherboard (should be about 30k)*
Case + PSU (Something like 7-8k)
DDR4 8GB (8-9k) (for Ryzen) / DDR3 16 GB (8-9k) for Intel
Samsung 850 EVO 256 GB (8k) or Adata 240 GB (6k)
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB (6k)
Worst case scenario, it leaves you about 39k, which good for a GTX 1060/RX 580. Best case scenario, you save about 50k, you can get a GTX 1070/AMD Vega 56** at this range comfortably, add like 1-2k more and probably even a 1070 Ti.

*if you want DDR4 support with Intel, you'll have to go for the i5 6600 or better.
**the reason I'm putting Vega here is that due to recent driver updates and optimizations, Vega 56 is comfortably on par with the 1070 and even beats it in some titles. It does require some more power though. Please do your own research.

My apologies but that is a crap build specifically because of the Processor and PSU suggestion. Why buy a 4th gen processor when 9th gen is almost here?

If you're spending that much, don't get anything lower than the 8th gen since you want everything new.

i5 8100 - 18k brand new
300 series mobo- 12k (Good one)
DDR4 2400 mhz 9k
Casing- Anything in 5-6k with side panel
Power supply - Don't go for a cheap powersupply as per Pakistani soch. Get a solid power supply so that your components are healthy even after 2 decades. I've had this bad experiences. Go for a power supply that's at least 80+ gold and will cost you 10k.
Gpu: Get Rx 580 in used/1070 in used from a trusted seller. Shouldn't have any issue. These cards are cheaper these days. Should be around 30k for 580 and around 40k for 1070. You can't get 1080 in that budget. Not even used. Also you don't need 1080 for Dota, Fortnite etc.
HDD: Any.
SSD: Any 128gb ssd. Around 4k.

That totals to: 96,000.

You're even saving 4k. If you can increase your range a bit, get i5 8400. BEAST!

Rest its up to your personal preference. SIBZ

Thanks. Found a 500gb WD SDD so thats a cost saving and also by 1080 i meant 1080p as in FHD 'the resolution' and not the actual GP.my bad. but thanks for the suggestions. I'm not really comfortable buying second hand items but will give it a look here and other online places. so i5 8th gen, compatible mobo, ddr4 ram and a 1070 and i will be set. I hope. Will check some online reviews and im gonna but everything new. provided i found them items.

Thanks again.

Yes, please do give a read to 8th gen. Not the i3 but i5 8400 really is something.

I'll have to respectfully disagree here.

If you can find 8th gen in an affordable price, go for it. The reason I didn't suggest 8th gen is because usually people charge too much for it, and I'm going by the common market value, not the retail value it should be. The other reason is the 14 nm shortage going on right now.

For the PSU, you don't need an 80+ Gold rating, for your case you aren't going to be overclocking your processor or some other mission critical part. An 80+ Bronze rating is enough. You can find decently priced 650W PSUs at about 3.5K.

And yes, you can also save money on storage.

I have burnt many rams and motherboards with a 700w 80+ bronze :)

It wasn't for 3.5k. It was for 6k. Even though I have no electricity shortage issues but still. Rx 580 is a beast of a card. Unless you don't want to roast your system, I'd suggest you get a good power supply. You'll spend some extra on it but it will be WORTH it. Give it a read over the internet on the power supply tier list. The ones you're suggesting won't even be in the "Trash" tier list. The one I was getting here in market for 6k was in tier 6 (y) SIBZ

Most PSU tier lists are years old by now, and they don't really mean a whole lot. This stuff is just what the enthusiasts should aim for. As for you, PSUs don't cause rams or motherboards to short out. Either you were buying a no-name brand or there was another underlying issue.
