it sure brings in the many advantages for the TV fans, specially features like crystal clear and sharp images, video on demand (yes peoples would be able to see various movies DVDs @ reasonable charge) however still IPTV is in the testing phase and saying anything before seeing a demo would be wrong..

I think charges for IPTV are quite high....its around Rs. 2000...it include and internet broadband connection of speed 512Kb.

yeah sort of, basically peoples will be able to see HD quality and the features like Video on Demand i-e pay a small fee to view the movie of your choice anytime (ofcourse you need to select one from the available videos library) for a good example, checkout ShowTime, it's something similar to it!

Its a good news that PTV is takin such step. I think now we are also gettin ahead slowly in the era of technology.But after a test or an experience can only show that whether they are HDTV or not. They better not use the quality Like you tube does. Calling it a Paki HDTV

Well guys i came to know from my DSL technician that IPTV is launching on 21st May.
It will cost us Rs.350 for 110 channels.
Isnt that gr8

hay guys i am paying 200 to my local cable wala (media plus comunication) and getting 100 chennels with 5 dedicated hindi movie channels not bad HUH.......... and when the ptcl technician installed my dsl 4th march he said iptv launching on 23rd march but not lunched now letz C

isn't IPTV supposed to be like TiVO or something where you ONLY pay for the channels you want and there are a LOT of channels to choose from?
maybe i'm wrong.
r it coud be like the GO4B thing which IMO is awesome!
but i'm not that big of a TV fan anymore so.......
