The card was bought by a friend of mine approx. 10 days ago from another PG member, now he wants to upgrade because this card is a medium range card that can play games mostly at Medium Settings & he wants to purchase a card which can easily run games on some higher settings.

Condition of card is good.

Comes with a DVI to VGA adapter, no other accessories.

Well go ahead, buy 512mb version. 512mb version comes in DDR2 version with half the bandwidth & doesn't give performance. RAM isn't the only thing on which performance depends, you got to consider SHADERS, MEMORY BANDWIDTH & SIZE of Memory altogether.

More memory is only required to load more textures, but what's the use of high memory, if bandwidth is limited. I think you can get better card than this one, if your range is +5K, because only at this price you will get 512mb GDDR3 version in used, if you try hard enough. However, this card runs every game at medium or at least low settings without any problem.

Only played RE5 & NFS Shift, both on medium settings with resolution 1024x768. Frame are approx. around 30+

ddr3 factor is much more important than GPUs memory factor, for eg; normal 9600GSO which was ddr3 and 384mb (192bit) worked faster than 768mb (128bit)ddr2 which is available now a days. ddr3 gives 30% more performance than ddr2 ver of same cards memory doesnt matters much.
