[SOLVED] Note 5 doesn't pick up 5Ghz wifi channel

Hey guys, I have a note 4 SM 910W8, and I recently got a dual band wifi router. The problem is that the phone doesn't pick up the 5ghz wifi channel. All my other devices, namely my GS3, Nexus 10, GS4 and my laptop can connect fine to the 5Ghz SSID of the router. Has anyone ever come across a problem like this? and if so, do you guys know of any solutions? My phone is rooted if that helps.

select different channel manually instead of "Auto" ..

sometime some mobiles are from different region cannot detect the right channel... therefore if it won't resolve by this method try to change different "REGION" instead of selected one.. !!

do let me know if it's not resolve by these 2 methods

Hey man, thank you for your prompt reply. My question is, do I change the channels from the Router settings page or do I change it on my phone. I've tried to find some such menu through which I can change settings relating to wifi but no such luck. I was also thinking that it might be a region thing, as I got my phone from Canada.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I'm using the TP Link AC 750 Archer D2. I'll mess about with the settings page and see if that helps.
