Need Some Help

im intending to get a 512kbps...with that decided,i now have only one trouble that is figuring which service to get...i currently have a hold back between these three

1. LinkdotNet
2. PTCL
3. Micronet Dsl

Good reviews so far...still not satisfied with the feedback

PTCL:
Since PTCL is the market leader right now..and a company to keep a rep,but still ive heard cases of lazy customer service

Micronet:
Never heard of them before...but have caught my attention due to some reviews ive read on their website..sounds a great experience to be engaged with

as for PTCL and LinkDotNet
cant say anything but most ppl on PG have PTCL

Go for Ptcl dude.It is right now the better and the best choice.The part of customer service both link.net and ptcl suck big time so the odds are even for both but service vise,speed,latency etc Ptcl at the moment is at top.

i Will Say Forget these 3 , take a look a if Connect is Avialble in your area and if its available just give it a go,there is a slight chance it will be available as connect is spreaded all over karachi, they are best and they have improved there connection alot , and their VAS are also Good like they have WEBTV where they giving 4 Channels ( 1 music channel ,1 news channel ,1 sports channel and 1 connects own ) , and they have just started a CyberRadio ,

i hav been using connect from 4 months and the download speed now a days i get is , 100KB+ From Direct downloads ,35-40KB+ On Torrents and P2p Networks

On Query if you don't wanna / or cant go with Connect then just try LINKDSL , and if you decide PTCL then expect a BadCustomer support from them

yep...ptcl's student package rocks!! 1400 for 1mbps!! but i will have to agree with na33m too...connect is getting better now due to the competition like WCN etc

im also switching back to connect after using WCN for a month (it sucks)

but theres one prob with connect...u cant connect a ps2 or use linux unless ur ready to tire ur ass off trying things which nobody over the internet has ever tried (i did manage to use internet on ubuntu 6.06 using connect and i remember vividly, nobody on the net knew how to do that! so i had to figure out myself...took me 3 or 6 months!)

i have a poor ip knowledge can some1 help me out with how to chose an isp which are gaving dynamic ip instead of static so rapidshare downloads cannot be any problem with a modem restart...

im currently using a local service..get around 25k-above DS (using DAP)..

my shift is based majorly for online gaming...btw i wanted to ask,in my previous attempts on both 360 and ps3..in 360 the test passes everything except DNS server..tried every desperate measures,even though my isp has two dns servers and ive tried putting them in Primary and Secondary dns,even changed the primary to secondary still doesnt work

in PS3,the test passes...i go to signing up for psn..it gives me error "A connection to the server could not be established"...though you can cancel your figures on ps3 one cause ive sold it :frown:

and this seems to be the case with every local isp,is there something they disable so to prevent load from the server ?

man if u like downloadin then ure gonna love ma net but theres 1 prob........... NO ONLINE GAMING EXCEPT 9 am to 3 pm ! but torents alwayz give u speeds above 100kbps and dorect or rapidshare links give u abt 400 to 600kbps atleast 180kbps !

i would say PTCL now it is getting more reliable and CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO IMPROVING.
