I'm sorry don't know the proper section for this query but it's a simple question.
I'm getting an iPhone 5s (Gevey sim) and since I have no knowledge about it I have a few questions..

1) Will I be able to use all the apps/App store without hassles?
2) I don't need it for the sim, just for App store and apps like instagram/whatsapp/viber and facetime etc.
3) A friend told me not to update it on my own, so what should I do about that?

Any help would be appreciated and this can be moved to the appropriate section.

1) yes you can use the app store without any issues
2) you can use the apps that don't require a sim but you will need a sim inserted in your phone for apps like Viber and whatsapp
3) yes you can't update when using a phone with gevey sim because newer updates tend to make the gevey sims obsolete and if you update then you will turn your phone into an iPod touch.

Gevey sim phones are too much of an hassle. People should always for a factory unlocked one.

3. You can update the phone yourself if you know how to do that.

Always do some research before updating to new ios version just to make sure your gevey is compatible/working on new ios.

I did every update on my iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S both gevey and they never refused to work. Both has Gogou original gevey Sims. Yes some replicas gevey are also available in market.
