Need help regarding Laptops

Hey guys I need to buy a laptop and i know nothing about the latest laptops and all so i need some professional help. I dono about the prices either so just tell me about some decent laptops for general purpose and little bit of gaming like running nex gen games on atleast mid/low settings, e.g cod 4. I need to buy one quick so just temme some with prices and also tell me a reliable shop in karachi from where i can get it.

I dono, just temme all low end and middle range laptops that can handle games like cod 4 on min/mid and for general usage.

games on laptop is not a good experience at all ....... if u are going to play games ...then buy a good machine i think in 50k u can build an excellent machine to play games...... laptops are not meant for playing games ..... and wont be having a good experience to play games on lapieeeeeees ..

i myself played .... doom3 , max payne 1 and 2 and project igi ......but ... the joy u will be having at PC is not matched with laptop ....by any mean..... lap tops get so hot while u play heavy 3d game on laptop ....... !!

but still u can play games....on laptop .... and that ranges from 80 to 100 k ....... lower then this range will not be able to play many games ... ! i mean heavy games...

Man this lappy has everythng except a nice GPU to play games..7300GO is much slower than the 7300GT which is in desktops..
you need to go for HP models which has price tags of 90k or above.they have 8600 Grfx card in them which is capable to play games at descent IQ settings along with good resolution(only the games which you have mentioned above)..As for newer games its quite difficult to handle that...then you need to go for tosiba or Asus gaming laptops which are of course pricey..

^ Actually he wants to buy a laptop to play COD4 and is asking for a Low to mid range lappy..i dont thnk its possible coz the laptop grfx card are not as powerfull as compared t desktop ones..so even if he buys HP one he wouldnt get enough from it what he actually thinks..

check out the acer aspire gemstone series ....... i was having acer 4920 G and was playing NFS UG . smoothly ...... i think ur requirement meets this brand.......!! check out acer website ....

it was a good machine with low price ...... 60k to 80k with good configuration.......

i was having core 2 dou 2.2 with 2 GB ram

u can get an hp dv series one for 68k wid 8400gs mobile grafix card n it has hdmi port too..
