These two aren't really comparable.

S6 Edge was released last year. Has atrocious battery life (like it's larger counterpart, the Edge Plus), is uglier and very uncomfortable to hold and lastly if you like waiting 5 months for Android Updates, then you can go ahead and buy it.
I made a huge mistake and bought the S6 Edge Plus a few months ago. Absolute waste of money, and it's one of the phones I've kept for less than 6 months cause it was so bad.

The OnePlus 3 on the other hand, is great, but not perfect. It's got pretty cool features, is Dual SIM, what looks like Stock Android, but technically isn't. Fast charging. Decent battery life and USB Type C.

Obvious choice would be the OP3 because it's newer, and with a crazy 6 GB of RAM, it'll last longer in terms of developer support and software updates.

buy s7 instead its alot better then both, battery is decent so is camera, plus its OS experience is ultra smooth. OP3 is a decent choice but its software is still buggy and not to mention the ram management issues.

Bro I appreciate your opinion but my budget is very tight and all I can arrange or manage is 50k not beyond than that. Lastly I always like to buy sealed packed phones, there are very rare situations where I risk myself to buy used phones.

So therefore my first preference is buying a sealed packed phone. Secondly I can't buy S7 even though it's the best without a doubt but my budget doesn't allows me to buy it, so therefore I'm opting for either Oneplus 3 or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

I also asked my friends that which one I should go for and according to their opinion they said S6 Edge seemed more appealing and I should get my hands on S6 Edge where as my gut says that I should buy Oneplus 3. So now I'm confused which one to go for that's why I'm seeking your help.

OP3 has the newer snapdragon thing for it. The 810 soc was really bad, experienced it myself on the OP2. The Oxygen OS was really buggy on the OP2, i promised myself never to buy a OnePlus handset again after the buggy experience on the OP2 and their software support isn't great. They took almost an entire year sorting out the minor bugs. But, i want to buy the OP3, it seems like a good phone and i really got used to the OS, though i prefer Cyanogenmod over any other Android variant. I have never bought a Samsung Android handset due to the abysmal TouchWiz interface and bloatware. Hardware wise it's a great phone.
People normally prefer buying Samsung due to its resale value and that is an important point to ponder. I surely don't care about resale becaus i pasa my phones on to my siblings after a year.

One plus 3 have atrocious memory management, meaning it will not utilize 6GB ram in any case. People at XDA have issued a fix for it but its battery life got hit as a result.

Only buy it if an official fix for oxygen os have been released that addresses these issues, else don't bother.

@Ibbu Bhai thing is S6 series is previous generation, means no more updates fixes and stuff plus it wasnt really a great phone, I am sure you will be able to find a decent S7 with 10-11 months warranty in 54-55k range,

OP3 is a great phone I just love it myself but its software isnt mature so is the battery life as one thing ive experienced in all these years battery life is very important

Why not consider lg G5, its also available in the same range even cheaper,

Thank you [MENTION=9842]smaaz[/MENTION] for pointing out the G5. I just remembered.
I know two guys on PW who bought almost brand new G5s for less than 50k.
You could consider that, it's a great phone.

Another thing smaaz pointed out was updates and further support from Samsung. S6 is previous gen, and knowing Samsung, their main focus right now is S7 edge and Note 7.
Updates and security patches for old gen devices are slow.

OP3's OS is still growing, they're fixing stuff with software updates. It'll be fine soon enough.

You'll regret buying the S6 Edge and at 50k, it's an absolute waste for a brand new phone.

The only vote for s6 edge here is mine. I accidently cast that vote and couldn't revert it back. OnePlus 3 is much better in every aspect compared to s6 edge. One of the main problems of s6 edge is its battery life. Its very bad. Also s6 edge is old now. As others suggested, go for s7 if you can otherwise simply go for OnePlus 3. I personally don't like g5 and its design.

Well my elder bro hasn't bought the S6 Edge Plus yet and i'll tell him to buy Oneplus 3 instead of S6 Edge Plus. Personally I hate the shape of LG G5 no offense but as far as the features goes they are quite appealing. But nothing comes near OP3 that's for sure whether that are looks or specs.

I just hope that he hasn't bought phone yet.

I had an s6 Edge plus before this. Gave it up a few days ago.
Performance wise and camera wise, it's great.
Software updates and battery life, it's crap. Absolute crap.

Get the OP3.

Get Note 5 if it comes under your budget. If not the Note, then try and use S6 edge in market first. I dont like it ergonomics wise, it is not comfortable. Samsung phones have decent to good dev support.
