Guys the thing is that i'm assuming that my current TP-Link router that came with my Nayatel connection has gone bust. Keeps on dropping wifi signals even when i'm sitting 1 feet away from the router.

Now in order to resolve the problem, i've had the settings of my router refreshed multiple times and recently upgraded the firmware of my router, but all in vain. Stupid wifi keeps on dropping on me. Internet keeps on working on LAN though, its just the wireless that's messing around.

So, for one, is there any solution to this wifi signal drop?

If not then would you all be so kind as to suggest me a new router that i can buy easily in Islamabad.

Are you sure its your router and not the device itself? Which device you are connecting to? Laptop? Smartphone? TV? Does the wifi light on your router is constantly blinking or does it also turn off when you have no wifi access?
Is your router dual band? If so then try 5 GHz frequency band as it has far less interference then the normal 2.4 GHz band. I have over 8 wifi broadcasts in my house and all of them are 2.4 GHz so I get 5-6 MB/s max data rate on my N600 router at 2.4 ghz frequency but at 5 GHz band my average speed is 11 MB/s because it has 0 interference so channels are far less loaded. The only downside to 5 GHz is that 95% of devices in homes don't have dual band capability and requires special dongles. Fortunately newer iphone's/Samsung phones/Nexus 5 and newer Samsung smart TV's are all dual band. I have yet to find a Laptop with dual band capability, even my latest Core i7 4th generation laptop with 8GB RAM and 1 TB hdd only reads 2.4ghz ssid broadcasts.

Well my modem is a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

Laptop and mobiles are the two devices connected over wifi to this router.

I've checked both devices in my office over wifi and they worked perfectly, no disconnections. Ghar aatay he mout aa jati hai wifi ko.

On the router wifi signal keeps on blinking like its in normal use when signal go missing.

Doesn't show that wifi's dropped, ever!

Plus it doesn't go above 2.4GHz, i guess its one of those lame ass routers i got conned into buying from Nayatel.
