So i was planning to sell the 7d and get a 6d, but now i've decided to invest in lenses rather than a camera.

I have a 18-200 and a 50mm.

Anyone know where to get the 10-18mm STM lens in pakistan?

Also, which lens to get for zoom.

I'm looking to replace the 18-200 with 17-50 f2.8 VC/non-VC + 70-300 VC SP both by tamron, anyone has experience with these lenses?

Range is 70k.

Thanks.

Canon 10-18 STM are available in Lahore Nisbat road.
Tamron 17-50 f2.8 n 70-300 VC both r great value for money. 70-300 is as gud as canon 70-300 IS USM
But 70k for all three is gonna Be less! I think 70-300 VC costs 35-40k (not sure current used market rates) n 17-50 f2.8 costs around 35k. 10-18 STM will also cost between 25-35k
I suggest get 10-18 and 70-300 first! And when u have enough savings then go for 17-50!

If u could share which place ur from I would be able to guide u in a better way!

Its hard to advice without knowing the purpose of lens. For indoor and low light photography you need fast wide aperture and IS lenses.

I'm from Islamabad.
I'll be buying 2 lenses in 70k for now, will replace the 18-200 with the 17-50 later on maybe.

While taking pics of birds and animals the 200mm range is constricting, so wanted to move to 300 range.

The 10-18 for buildings etc, wanted to get the 14mm f2.8 from rokinon for astrophotography but i'll consider a faster lens after a few years or so.

Which would u guys prefer, the Tamron 70-300 or Canon's 70-300, I've heard good stuff about the Tamron but i need solid lenses - I'm still using a 50mm F1.8 mark 1 my dad bought in 1989, still works perfect.

BTW opethian I do have the option of upgrading to 6d provided the 7d gets sold, what would you suggest? Full frame or couple of lenses?

Getting 6D is gud option, but then again ull have to buy lenses for full frame
Rokinon 14mm f2.8 will work on 7D n also on 6D so don't go for 17-50 f2.8 if u wana upgrade to full frame!

I'll be waiting for the 7D to get sold, if it does not soon, I'll buy lenses for the 7D.

Magic lantern + 7D is a cool combo right now, will be good to have a few dedicated lenses also.
