Salam.someone here at pg wants to sell core i5 2400 for 12000.i intend to buy it but i have few questions.will i be able to play games at 1080p with this cpu.although my current gpu gtx 550ti may not be able to run games at 1080p with high graphics settings but i will buy high end gpu in near future so will core i5 2400 be enough for high end gpu?2nd question are there any draw backs of buying cheap motherboard like intel dh61ww except i ll be unable to overclock?

Yes, i5 2400 should be able to handle any game right now, and it won't bottleneck a high-end GPU.
As for the motherboard, I never recommend Intel. ASUS, Gigabyte and Asrock are the brands you should consider. Asrock motherboards are available around the same price, and they would be a much better buy compared to the Intel boards.

On a side note: If I were you, I would look for a used i5 3570, i5 4570 or an i5 4670. Obviously they will cost a bit more (around 2-3K more, depending on the seller :p) than the i5 2400 but imo the performance is worth the minimal price difference. You'll get around 3-5 FPS increase (or even more depending on the game) in almost every game you'll play...But again it's your choice and your money :p.

I am currently running an intel dh61ww and core i3 2120, no problems...
One thing you must note if you upgrade to ivy you must update this mobo's bios first... dats awl there is to it...
