Title says it all I guess.
Will be used mostly for web development and maybe sometimes light gaming...
Suggestions please.
Or would I be better off buying a PC in this range?
If yes then details please!

see galaxy, czone, myshop, shophive, mega.pk sites !!!
Thanks mate and yeah I know about those sites but I wanted to know some valuable suggestions of PG members.

BTW I'm in Sialkot.
Which of those sites have dealers here in Sialkot?
Where I can get the laptop by hand...
And which one is better regarding support/warranty etc.

I don't have any recommendation for model #. But for specifications;
-Get i5 Or even i3 will work fine. (There is no point in getting i7)
-Ram should be at-least 6Gb.
-SSD would be a big plus point for loading programs etc (Add minimum of 32Gb ssd)
-Full hd laptop screen, because you would need to tile development tools and browsers side by side on screen.
-Don't fall for GPU, Intel integrated is enough, unless you plan to do gaming (which is not recommended on laptops)

You can even look for used laptops, contact @ANNOSAD, he often has some good offers.

no bought in local market and one suggestion dont ever go for Dell... the above laptop u mentioned is also good but envy series is premium class with aluminium body and touch screen....
Why not Dell mate?
I've had good experience with good old Latitude D630 in the past.

And Yeah I've PM'd ANNOSAD.
Hopefully he'll have something special up his sleeve for me. :hah:

have had good experience with Dell (business series) except the battery, changed the battery 2 times similarly some of my other friends also using dell and after warranty expires the battery also expires :p
Annosad imports very good laptop in very reasonable prices and also his trade score is good i am also looking to deal with him for a gaming system in future InshaAllah

Latittude series was good but new dell ones run hot (nearly all of them). Getting them used will save you quite a bit of money but a pc of the same price will always be faster than same specs laptop. Hp envy series is the most reliable and sturdy one of all laptops (telling on personal experience). But i too decided to sell my laptop and go with the pc because of the vmware issues on laptop. A laptop is just not powerful enough for such things (in the same price range i am talking).

As a developer myself i am very dissapointed of the standard 1366x768 res on laptop. Just my two cents, always keep screen res in mind when you are buying a laptop for dev.
