ANS: Great idea..and hope tht it really does materialz..this will be the best pg meet
Question 2: What would you prefer, someones home or a gaming cafe?
Ans: i will ofcousre prefre my home..as i have a better gaming setup than gaming cafe and have wifi.
Question 3: How much does it cost per hour at your nearest gaming cafe (must have atleast 20pcs)
Ans: THT i will have to confirm...the nearest from my home is PLAYDIUM(gulshan iqbal) and FARIYA
Question 4: Can you bring a console, controller, game, monitor?
Ans: yes i can bring fifa 09 , ps3 and 2 contollers

Question 5: are you a graphics guy? can you make us a banner? and are you good with a camera? we might need you
Ans: i have a great digital camera(sony 7.2 cyber shot) and i m great good with it

Question 6: Should we keep it offline? i.e. separate winners for all cities or should it be online? please answer keeping in mind the answers to all the questions above.

Ans: ONLY the Runner ups and winners shuld be able to play with Other runner ups and winners from othr cities..so tht in the there is a possibility of the Final Between 2 guys from the same city....
so from khi the 4 ppl who reach the semis can play with the top 4 of lhr and islb

Here's what i think, 1 day for each game.. Like one day for Fifa, Other day for COD4 etc.. Find around 8 players atleast from each City for each game and then call them one day and let the matches begin !

Like im only intrested in Fifa so gather fifa fans in karachi and then get a PS3 and then have a knockout tournament, shouldnt take more then a few hours if there are 8 people or even 16 people. I just hope we can find enough guys to hold a proper tournament. PG can charge an entry fees of 50rs or 100rs per head and then give them to the winner too maybe?

Anyway those are my suggestions.. Im really hoping that PG can organize a Fifa tourney

its a small place called devil..umm forgot the name..lol..it charges 100rs/3 hr n has more thn 20pcz but the prob is its really compact n tight...!

dude we need spectators too! we will have 8 consoles and 8 pcs there. the pcs will be dedicated to cod and tf2 while the consoles will do fifa first and then halo and cod. its better if we finish it off in one day. your idea is good though, might come in handy when the winter break comes around.

do you know some other place? small and compact wont suffice! and i will personally get your console modded if isnt by the time the tourney starts

Actually suggesting one day for each game because if different game tournaments are held simultaneously then that means less players for each game which wont be fun.. Like if we get say in total in all competetions 50 players and then the games take place simultaneously that would mean 10 players each go in each of the 5 games but if it wasnt held simultaneously then they can participate in multiple games which would be really fun.

BTW, There's a gaming cafe by the name of Wired Up Gaming Zone with PS3's and PC's and X360s in Zamzama so why not book that place instead of people bringing over their consoles and controllers and stuff which could turn out to be a real hassle. Although yeah the booking that place would probably be expensive though i have never been to that place only heard about it. They have sheesha and stuff too there.. That could be real fun but i dont know if its possible for PG to organize a tourney there.

And i would prefer gaming cafes instead of internet gaming coz the main problem is of the loadsheding and many gaming cafes have there own generator systems, although it would be expensive but still the momentum would be there..

If you want to organize a proper tourney you'll need money .. but if its only a casual meet up for fun then yeah probably no money would be fine lol. Still ill probably come if Fifa's there

But its probably going to be expensive so unless you guys are going to charge entry fees i dont think going to wired up is feasible. Plus i think they can run the tournements for PG too it says this on their site:

^ Well it wont happen if we will book the whole gaming zone.Only if there are 15 or more people.I can talk to one of my friend i have done a nighter before i.e (whole night gaming) and its for about 2000 for whole of the gaming zone.I think its quite affordable if we have that many people.Loadsheding will not be problem at all there coz they got there separate generator for it.
Let me know when the program is done and i will talk to the person..

Well its a nice move but only if there are enough people up for it else it will be the biggest FAIL.
Dont know much about the consoles but PC sounds good to me.But i have heard that there are some console gaming cafes around in defence here in lahore (as said by MANIGAMER)
But again it all depends on how many people are serious about this.

Organizers won't be able to have fun. If done right, it'd be one mega party. I've organized really huge events and I know how much of a hassle it is. A simple LAN party would almost equivalent fun, cheaper and everyone can enjoy equally.

Gaming Cafe. Enough screens and air conditioning and no clean up load on a single individual.

Fariya can be booked easily. Normally they charge 40 per hour but there's some deal on 6 hours for 100Rs or something. We can have a whole gaming light or something for less than 200Rs per head.

You'll have your hands full with offline. Synching online is a near impossibility.

radd, leave the tournament thingy. Just make it a LAN party. We wanna have fun, if you're thinking tourny then contact the multiplayer veteren gamers of MBL or Wateen. I'm against a tourny but in favor of LAN party.

A simple straight forward game with easy to learn system and we can have an awesome party. Of course, I'd recommend TF2.....anyone can pick it up and play easily. Just ask wheels. He's on rank 4 on Pak's only TF2 server in LESS than a week.

youre right! which is why it isnt a tourney tourney. it is a lan party but with a bit of a purpose! we will get there, decided which games to play, make teams and start with it! its just for pg guys and their friends to chill out and game together.
