AOA Dear Members,

As I'm expecting a bit of money so I've decided to make by first gaming PC, I have searched a few Pakistani websites offering Desktop components and made a list of them to share with you. I have not decided GPU yet (may be GTX-980 or R9-290), please do suggest a GPU and a place in vicinity of ISB/RWP where I can buy these components (cuz I can't simply buy them from those websites)

Cases: Corsair Obsidian Series® 750D Full Tower ATX Case 18k or Thermaltake Urban S71 Full-Tower Casing 18K
Motherboard: ASUS B85-PRO GAMER 13.7K
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 3.40GHz 34K
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (8GBx2) 1866Mhz 240-Pin DDR3 Desktop Memory 18K
SSD: Kingston SSD Drive V300 120GB 8K
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB EZEX 8K
GPU: to be decided yet.
PSU:Corsair VS 550 WATT POWER SUPPLY 5.4K
Cooling Fans:
2 140's in the front intake
2 140's in the top intake
1 140 in the rear exhaust.
1 140 in bot intake.

Thanks & Regards,
Najam

Hi Najam, I can't tell you where to buy, but some changes are needed in your rig.

1. Buy a z97 chipset instead of B85. Its more future proof and will support the next gen of broadwell processors as well, should you ever need to upgrade in the coming future.
2. Get an 4th gen i5 instead of an i7. i7 is a waste on gaming.
3. Don't buy kingsten ssd v300 series its one of the most poor around. Get a transcend 370 series or samsung 840 evo series. They are much more reliable. Also get a 256gb ssd, and play your games on that. you will find it much smoother.
4. For GPU, if you plan to play at 1080p then get a gtx 970 4gb. No need to go for gtx 980. Its for more high res gaming.
5. get a seasonic, antec or corsair psu, even a thermal take one is better. Though in my opinion the vs series from corsair is on the lower quality side. spend a couple of thousand more and buy a good one.
6. For HDD I personally prefer the new drives from seagate, though if you have a better experience with W digital, then sure go for it.

And these will take care of all of your troubles for any gaming you may want to do.

Thank you for your kind opinions, I shall consider them as well, please do suggest a place where I can buy them as well.
Regards.
Best buy
(your city/nearest computer shop keeper is best rather then online buy from other cities
how ever they charge you 1k extra...mention not giving you proper warranty)

Agreed with AtiLover, Try to buy them locally cause you might even find these cheaper, If you cannot find them on local stores. Then buy them from Galaxy.pk or Czone.pk, Don't bother checking other online stores.

Aoa,
I would suggest the following shops:
 • Beegeek.net [although its 'online' shop, the shop's warehouse is in islamabad and the owner is very cooperative and helpful - so you can visit directly]
 • Media International (in Blue Area) [a bit expensive but they can arrange the highend gaming stuff]
 • Galaxy.pk has a outlet in Rawalpinid (5th road but better avoid murree road due to Metro project work there)
 • Easetec (opposite Media International) [same as media international and maybe a bit more expensive]

Hope that helps.

I just read your PC specs

I would invest more on the Power Supply then my Chassis. You can have a look at the Thermaltake Urban S31. Its for 10,000.

I would advice you to go with atleast Thermaltake SE730w or Corsair CS650M atleast.

For the SSD .. Kingston is good for the price.

For the GPU : 980 is the king for now , but 970 is bang for the buck. I personally own the 970 , a pretty kick ass card.
