so guys i have finally bought my screen!

i have two problems with it. firstly i running it through hdmi and i would like to run the sound through my speakers and not the screens speakerss. please tell me how this is posssible.

secondly the edges are black meaning the screen is smaller and is not being fully displayed. in a normal monitor one can adjust horizontal and vertical size so is there any possible way to do that on this?

for second problem adjust ur display to max supported by ur LCD TV and select Auto Adjustment through LCD............
and for first go to control panel->Sounds and audio Devices->Audio(Tab)->Default device
select ur Builtin sound device i.e realteak

1st problme has been corrected however the second problem is still there

use ur Catalyst control panel... it can be adjusted manually also

A black strip on the top and bottom means youre not running it on the correct (native) res. Change the res to max (or whatever's the native res of the screen) from properties/control panel and check.

which LCD TV u're using and at what resolution u're using it???????

There you go, thats the wrong res. The native res of this LCD is 1366x768. Change it and check.

If that res is not listed under properties, hook your DVI cable with the other DVI connector on the back of your 5770 and check.

but i have not connectedf it through dvi. i have connected it through hdmi and this thing doesnt have dvi at the back

doesn't it have something to do with the TV's settings... toggling between Movie, Drama, Sports mode

there is this option in SONY TVs dunno bout LG =/

no it doesnt have any of that. it has cinema vivd and standard settings

If this is the LCD in question, the native res is 1366. If its not listed in properties:
1. Uninstall your VGA drivers, use a driver cleaner utility and reinstall the latest and check.
2. If the LCD came with a software disc, install all supported software and check.
