AOA guys, Ive bought Viewsonic 27'' LED from shop in lahore, it got a stuck pixel (green),i returned it and got new but unfortunatly it also had a dead pixel which was only visible on red background, shop keeper refused to change it (even i reported it within few days).. i stoped ignoring that pixel but yesterday i noticed another small bright spot only on black background, so please tell me wt is causing more dead pixels, and any recommendations....

Did you get a warranty card of Viewsonic? I do not know if Viewsonic's warranty cards are given through the distributor like most of the brands now or they are dealt the old fashioned way via the shopkeeper directly through their own receipt.

All LCDs ARE supposed to have dead pixel policy. I am sure same is extended to LEDs too, another thing if not being honoured in Pakistan. You should talk to Viewsonic distributor directly concerning this issue - better yet, e-mail Viewsonic and ask them. Here's something from their US website:

ViewSonic LCD desktop display products are warranted with our LCD Pixel Performance Guarantee. Through this limited warranty, you are guaranteed high-quality screen performance with no more than three improperly operating pixels total and no more than two bright or two dark pixels.
So if a unit has more dead pixels than what is mentioned above then it qualifies under warranty.

P.S. Read this:

Viewsonic seems to have a THIRTY DAYS zero dead pixel policy:

Applicable Models & Period covered

30 days Zero Dead Pixel policy for all ViewSonic LCD monitors.
Terms and Conditions

  1. All Standard Terms and Conditions under ViewSonic Limited Three Year Warranty apply.
  2. All ViewSonic LCD Monitors found to have a bright dot or a dark dot (please see description below on Pixel Defect Criteria) will be replaced if found to be defective within the period specified below from invoice date.
  3. Should your LCD Monitor exhibit a Pixel Defect please contact your reseller.

Bro i have original viewsonic warrenty but statement says that warranty is only entertained when more then 5 pixels are present.. so if u find a single or a couple of pixels, it means it is now useles to contact warranty claim...
