Your PC specs indicates that you already have a Core i7 and a Viewsonic 2262wm ?

Anyway ... make your budget 13.5k and get yourself a HP X20LED

Hp is good too!! But the resolution is 1600x900. 1680x1050 isn't a widescreen its 16:10. 1366x768, 1600x900, 1980x1080 are widescreen. Widescreen aren't that fun though. They are a bit short vertically.

And if you can increase it to 15k then you can buy a full 1080p Acer monitor present at galaxy.

Pardon my earlier post, but i dont understand what exactly is your requirement. Apparently you already own a very good LCD. So what is it that you want again?

What are you saying? 1680x1050 is not a Widescreen? Then what is it? :p
Bhai it IS widescreen resolution. But its got more Area Vertically as its a 16:10 resolution.
1366x768 is ANALOGUE 720p resolution. Still it IS Widescreen.
1600x900 resolution is Pure 16:9 which is considered very good for Movies, but to me, its only good in movies, not good enough for normal desktop usage, as it got A bit Less Area Vertically (as compared to a 16:10). But its famous for movie fanatics as it doesn't show Black Borders for a Full 720p movie.
1920x1080 is again pure 16:9 resolution, and is called 1080p, still a Widescreen.

Please get your facts straight about Widescreen.

And if you can increase it to 15k then you can buy a full 1080p Acer monitor present at galaxy.
Which 15k LCD? In Used Section or New?

Thats a 16:9 ratio lcd which means it supports 1600x900. I personally would prefer the hp 20" over the samsung one and thats not coz of lcd/led but I've seen the 2033sw in action and its incredibly mediocre.

Oh I am really sorry about that. Actually I was myself confused and did google that stuff but still. Thanks for mentioning though.

Yes 16:10 I think is much better. Vertically the area is more. And one can live with black borders I think.

It isn't mentioned on Galaxy site. But it was there when I was buying my stuff. They had it listed before but have removed it from their list, I don't know why. It had 1920x1080 resolution and had VGA and DVI not hdmi. But for that price I think it was ok. Its not used!!! Its a new one.

Asis in that price range I think you should get the ones that are highlighted in the pic I had posted. Both are 1440x900 the first one is LCD and the second one is LED. Both are Viewsonic.

umm ... If you are saying COMPARATIVELY to HP X20LED, then Yes it is ... But it was still very good LCD of its time. And if I am not wrong, 2033SW is almost 3 year Old piece of Tech.

Dont forget that its a Better Alternative than other available LCD products in the same price range. Atleast for now ...

bro check for samsung b2030n it is around 12.5k and its the best in this range.
You have better alternatives available in the same price range, so why even bother going for that B series thingy from Samsung, which, in my opinion is not worth it.

i cant extend my budget 13k is maxxx

Its 1680x1050 ...
And you can't get a good LCD supporting that Resolution. Okay there is one Viewsonic available in that price, but that is not worth the price (sorry as i can't recall the model number in my mind).
Anyway ... a couple of LCD's that you find in market, will be supporting 16:9 (1600x900) resolution (like Fujitsu 20" or that HP X20LED or Samsung 2033SW etc), which is i think worth the price you are paying. Not to mention that movies look much better on a 16:9 display, pretty good display for a person who is a movie fanatic or play games, but not IDEAL for a desktop worker (due to a bit lesser area vertically).

m confused LCD or LED which one to go for ???
In Layman's Terms, the Basic difference between both is Backlight Techniques.
LCD uses Cold Cathodes for Backlighting, and LED displays use LED Lights for back lighting, which is of Two Types.
1. Full LED Backlight
2. Edge LED Backlight
Full LED Backlight costs much more than a normal Cold Cathode or any Edge LED available in market, but certainly guarantees more sharper, brighter, quality display. The HP X20LED.
Simply, if you are getting any Edge LED LCD (like HP X20LED), the only difference you'll see as compared to CCFL (Cold Cathode), comparatively better image quality & comparatively Lesser Power Consumption ... which is still worth the price dont you think?
