Salam,

I have a separate 320gb seagate laptop hdd which I use for backup purpose. I was using it with a ide/sata to USB converter to copy files on my laptop when all of sudden the Hdd stopped.. Now the Hdd is not booting at all. When I connect it to PC using USB converter it won't even show up in the windows Disk utility and there is a lag, but when I unplug the usb the message comes up that device is not formated. It happens on both my laptop as well as desktop.

Also when I connect the drive directly to my PC using Sata, system hangs on windows logo screen and don't boot. Hdd is shown in bios. Is there any way to fix the hdd at home.
