I'm downloading GTA V, it's almost half way done. It would've been complete last night but when I woke up I saw my PS4 was no longer in rest mode (Due to light going). I live in Bahria Town, so the light only goes for 5 minutes max. My PS3 would keep running on UPS while I was gaming, never had a problem. But my PS4 seems to be a pain in the ass :mental Is there anyway to get the PS4 to not turn off when the light goes? If anyone knows then please do let me know, at this rate I'll be playing GTA V in December :crying:

Dude, the safest method is to download the game on your PC first using PSXDOWNLOAD helper and then transfer it onto your PS4 using a wired connection. Its not as complicated as it sounds once you understand it but it is one pretty handy tool to save your PS4 from loadshedding... Head overto the Ps4 help section and you might find a guide on this. If not, lemme know and I'll post a link here.
I searched for PSXDownload on the forums but didn't find anything. Please could you post it here? Also, Will it work if half my download is already complete? And I'd still like to know if there's a way to get my PS4 on UPS because the light goes whilst I'm gaming, that can also be a problem.

free tip to the gta download , do not start the game before it completes the download or it will get stuck and u will probably have to download it again , the pain i went through downloading gta . never ever going digital again , but yeh i used an extremely good ups still it trips the ps4 for some reason besides ive heard it damages the ps4 and should be avoided
I use a PowerCom Ups with a stabiliser connected between it and the PS4. The PS4 stays on when the electricity goes and gives me enough time to properly shut it down. Mine was also restarting till I put new batteries in the ups.
I would not recommend using a PS4 on an ups for longer runs, as it might blow up your supply resulting to a warranty claim difficulty. If there is an power outrage,then an ups is good to let your system switch over to a shut down. In this scenario, you system will be safe from power issues

I'm having the same problem. Got my PS3, PS4 and TV hooked up to a UPS. The TV and PS3 stay on for the entire hour during load shedding, but the PS4 lasts a few seconds at most.
I guess it must be because the UPS is also powering a couple of other power outlets in my room. I tried shutting all the others off before the power went out a few days ago, and the PS4 stayed on long enough to be able to shut it down properly.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
