I would suggest switch to lollipop custom rom which are way better then stock Motorola rom. You get lots of tweaks, features and performance on custom roms. You need to unlock your phone bootloader first from Motorola website. Then the fun begins.

I am on lollipop custom rom 5.1.1 along custom kernel and recovery.

Hi!
The thing with Moto Phones is that Motorola doesn't allow users to downgrade them. It has placed certain security checks which get triggered whenever someone tries to flash a ROM which is a lower version to the one that is installed on the phone and brick the phone. If you're an average smartphone user which not much knowledge about rooting / flashing etc then it's highly recommended that you don't mess about with it. Even experienced devs on XDA refrain from messing about with Moto devices unless it's necessary.

Having said that, there are numerous methods by which you can by-pass the security checks and downgrade your phone. I would suggest you go to XDA and browse their Moto G section. You'll find tons of workable material there. But do not try and start attempting the first hack you find. Spend your time browsing around and try to pick up information about how to proceed.

But first and foremost, you need to unlock your bootloader. You cannot do anything to your phone if your bootloader is locked.

If you need any advice before attempting anything, feel free to PM me whenever you want!

Lollipop is a major upgrade from kitkat so there are many errors in a regular update. This happened with almost all phones from all manufacturers. The simple method to fix all the problems you are facing is to factory reset

The official bootloader unlocking guide is the most easy one out there, HOWEVER, it's missing some key instructions as how to setup and get started. Complete below steps and then follow the official guide from step-3.

  • Download and install installer_r24.3.3-windows.exe from here.
  • Download and install the latest Motorola USB drivers from here.
  • Then, open Command Prompt and cd to the folder named "platform-tools", it's located where you installed Android SDK Tools. If you don't see aforementioned folder, double click on the SDK Manager.exe (it wouldn't load if you don't have Java Development Kit installed, you can get it from here), afterwards check Android SDK Platform-tools under Tools and install it.

All the best.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
