Help with Nexus 5X

I ordered an unlocked brand new Nexus 5x through my uncle from US. I got it today when i put my ufone inside it, it reads it but says no service. I went to ufone office but they dont know what the problem is my sim works fine in another phone. please help

I doubt if thats unlocked.. go to the market and get it checked there.. might be that its country locked

Its Unlocked i bought from google play

Seems like a common issue in nexus 5x. Here are your troubleshooting tips :

1) Try with another sim , a proper factory cut nano sim.

2) Order another nano sim from ufone

3) See if the sim tray is adjusted properly

4) get it checked from the market to ascertain whether you have damaged the sim pins inside.

5) Return to google as the last resort as many 5x have been received by customers in this condition.

If it was purchased from google, please contact them and let them know of your issue.

First off, update to 6.0.1
Do a factory reset.
Get a fresh Nano SIM from Ufone.
Turn the phone off.
Pop the SIM in and make sure the tray fits in properly and the SIM isn't wiggling around.
Put the phone back on.
Quickly dial *#*#4636#*#*
Press Phone Information
Turn Radio Off
Choose WCDMA/GSM (Auto) if you're in 3G coverage
Choose GSM only if you're not in 3G coverage

Once you've selected the option, turn the radio back on and quickly reboot the phone.
You should have signal. If not, then let Google know the problem.

As a last resort, try another SIM from a different network.

How do you contact google? I even flashed backed to original 6.0 still the problems exists and tried out multiple sims and the biggest problem is that i cannot return it because i live here

The problem is not just with me my friend and i both order both of them has the same problem.

Have you tried setting your phone to 2G only? aka GSM
