Ti can be SLI with Ti only

---------- Post added at 02:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:38 PM ----------

I also thing to do 560ti HAWK SLI, is GX750 PSU is enough for both card and mobo+cpu (2500k+msiz68GD65)
it is enough, however, make sure its condition is excellent, also note that no margin will be left for overclocking the GPUs, even you have to take care while ocing 2500k ,

you should now that summer is comming, PSU efficiency decreases with hot weather, also 750 watt doesnt mean that it must provide continuous and smooth 750 watt,

so, most probebly it would be enough but without margins

i already have an Corsair TX950, so i am covered with that.

I currently have my 2500K OC'd to 4.2 Ghz for normal running....i guess i shd be able to sustain the overclocking with my current PSU.

So, i guess i should look for a Ti version???
how much can i get the Hawk one for???

It would be better to get the same version, brand of the 560 ti for it to run at the same clock speed. The hawk isn't only overpriced but its rated stock clock is at 950Mhz, so your overall SLi setup would run with the clock speed of your slowest GPU i.e. your EVGA one.

I'd say find another EVGA 560 ti for SLi. The last I heard hawk was between 26-28K.

ya, was just check astrontech, they have it for 27.3k....overpriced....

Currently, i dont think any retailer here has the EVGA SC version of 560ti...:(

i got it for 28k's from them back in May....
Yea it was pretty expensive back then. Well you can do two things. I heard that IMX would be restocking their 560DF, so you can wait and grab that at a lesser price than hawk for SLi. Or you could sell your current 560SC and get a Kepler GPU, one below the 680 for almost the same budget in the coming months.

Yea the new added features are just superb and it has given ATi really something to look at and drool over. Our local retailers just wait for such chances to fleece people except for IMX.

you need 560Ti to sli, brand and memory does not matter as long as both cards have same gpu you can run them in sli e.g you have 560ti from evga you can run it in sli with another 560ti card by asus or msi..get it

and to save cost get a 512mb if availebe cause in sli you cant use the memory on 2nd card just gpu is being used.

Sorry, I didn't wanted to point out someone here, but it was much needed.

You need equal video memory to SLI multiple graphics card. e.g. you can't SLI a GTX 560 Ti 1GB variant with GTX 560 Ti 2GB.
Brand, Memory Clock, Core Clock and Shader Clock doesn't matter in this case. :)

Known Ahmed. If budget isn't an issue for you, you can opt a GTX 560 Ti HAWK. There's not much performance difference in EVGA SuperClocked and HAWK.

e.g.
MSI HAWK = 950MHz Core Clocks, 1900MHz Shader Clocks, 4200MHz Memory Clocks
EVGA SC = 900MHz Core Clocks, 1800MHz Shader Clocks, 4212MHz Memory Clocks

Ya, i was wondering, where he came up with that.

Anyways, i think i'll wait up to see the 600 series here and then upgrade rather then going for SLI.....

Memory clock, on board memory, gpu clock and brands does not matter in sli only matters is the gpu must be same

listen to professional=> #259 - Q&A: Can you mix different model GPUs in SLI? - YouTube
Also there's a video buy LinusTechTips i was looking for that too i cant find it google it like video card buying guide by linus techtips

they say clearly memory does not matter

Though I don't believe in these random sources. But.... Google tells me that yes! You can run two different variant of same chip in SLI. However, it is not recommended because you can't utilize the higher memory capacity. Thanks for the correction.

there is a slight complication in going for gtx560 sli

see 2x560ti have more processing power than gtx580 bit its performance is restricted by 1gb memory

meaning the two cards have the power to max out bf3 on full hd with 3d but it will run out of video memory and that is a major concern for upcoming games
