Help need with my BB 9550

sorry don't know this is a right place or not but i have a problem with my blackberry Storm 2 9550 well i'm unable to connect to my home hot spot (Wifi)
the cell i have is from Verizon
other detail's are

V5.0.0.1015(Bundle 1656 Platform 4.2.0.442)

there is one more thing well if i am siting just a inch away from my wifi router then i can see that router in search list but as soon i move from that spot there is nothing
plz if any 1 can help do help plz Thx

Did you check it with other router ?

Yes i have tried it with the other router but same thing i have to sit on router to get connected to the router and 1 more thing there is no green tick even when i'm connected to the router.....!
