[SOLVED] Help/Advice needed regarding LG Nexus 4 rooting.

I have followed each and every step on this tutorial NEXUS 4 ROOT On boot up on Titanium and supersu app. It says Su binary not installed and SuperSu cannot install it and could not acquire root privilages please verify your rom is rooted. both apps respectively.
Now i repeated the steps from the tutorial 3 times still nothing really.
can any one please link me a legit tutorial that actually works. May be its just me and the tutorial is okay but still need help if you are a nexus 4 user or rooted a nexus 4. Thank you in advance.

Which version of the Os are u running?

@winchester-khan I m using 4.4.4 and that tutorial had two versions of CWM-SuperSU where it stated to install the CWM-SuperSU-v0.99 if some one running above 4.4.x and i did that exactly. still the Super SU app states "su binary not installed".

I highly suggest you should root the phone by reading proper info directly from the developers at XDA. There is a Pakistani nexus 4 thread which is quite active. Post ur problem there and you will get helpful replies.

I have tried rooting it exactly with all the steps correctly. Still i dont know what Super Su been looking for and i m so much lost that i dont knw where to start again. I have different recovery now that is clockwork. i will not let it go in the middle of this mess. Thanks to you looking for the pakistani nexus 4 thread. If you have the link please kindly provide. i m currently using Windows 8.1 as well but nothing went wrong with the drivers. it did reboot with the Super SU app installed still the app stated SU binary not installed.

Yup i noticed. I been working and messed up since last night. restart, boot, install from SD card, restart, boot. i don't get what i m missing and then i cant get rid of the booter that i installed via the first link so i can start all over again with the software. even reseting the phone doesnt make the clockwork recovery go away and if i start working with the software it will all just strangle up. i was hoping on the method i used works and some one make me understand what i forgot. if that doesnt happen i will find a way to make the phone use stock recovery option and get going with the method 2 that you mentioned and i m thankful for that.

Ok so i m using the ClockworkMod v6.0.2.3
Fastboot mode
product name - Mako
variant - 16GB
Hw Version rev_11
boot loader version MAKoZ30d
baseband version - m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.03

Signing - production
secure boot Enabled
lock state Unlocked

Now when i restart my phone and open the Super SU app it says SU binary not installed. Anyone have any idea what did i miss?
i tried rooting using NEXUS4Root Files available on the said link and UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4

That just went right above my head. i am so lost, thought it would be piece of cake. Never should have messed up with the cellphone thinking about hacking into the Asphalt 8 getting the venom GT. Anyways still wont stop fighting ill do it. what ever it takes hope i dont end up having a dead device tho.

Yes well the members at XDA at Nexus 4 Help forum said something quite same like this. to install TWRP 2.7.1.0 touch recovery that is openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-mako.zip where they replaced the new twrp image in his zip and made a flashable 2.7.1.0. i suppose it works like
-step one connect phone run the image file by CMD while being in the recovery mode at cellphone
Or
-Step one connect phone boot till the home screen connect phone and run the file in the zip and it will flash or recover as back to the original/stock fastboot mode rather then ClockworkMod v6.0.2.3
Then
-Step two install Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.5 while on phone home screen
or
-Step two install Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.5 while being in the stock recovery mode with the stock fastboot mode.

Again thanks for the help. May be my questions doesn't make sense still first time for everything. bare with me here.

All those tutorials made me delete my data and phone was reset and what not i never knew this could happen without loosing your settings and apps.
The ERROR: I did not had any rom actually. i just flashed recovery and that was it. And for that i opened 16 tabs. Stupid me. Or lets say masoom me :angel3:

Now moving forward to which one to select?

try doing normal mode , if you have any issues in it , then go for recovery one

I chose normal, it stated "another SU app installed rather then SuperSU. Do you want to uninstall." I tapped on yes. It stated back saying "Uninstall unsuccessful reboot and try again" rebooted and now i dont see any app configured in the app tab. should i delete the SuperSu and redownload and update binary via CWM option rather then normal? May be conflict because i have these files copied in storage. [MENTION=9504]mental[/MENTION] Should i get rid of them?
